Hello and sorry for the crosspost,
I have a php page that uses sessions. The page has a button that opens
a popup window. The popup window is itself a php page and also uses
the session. When I close the popup, I lose the session. Is there
anyway I can prevent the session from being dropped? Thanks!

After reading much on the evils of eval, I have a question using my
own personal use of the function...
We have a reports system that will generate reports based on a number
of parameters available on a blotter at the top of our report system.
Each report could (and does) use a combination of some (but not all)
of these 15 parameters.
Each report also has a series of precalculations that need to be run
before the report can execute.

I have tried everything I can think of to change the visible property
of a design time created control from a dynamically created control's
command event handler.
Here is the scenario.
I have a WebForm with some textboxes, dropdownlists, a panel,
imagebutton and so on. When I click on the image button (which was
created at design time) I dynamically build a table. In each of row of
that new table I put several cells and one cell...

Hello,
I have a page with a RadioButtonList and a PlaceHolder control. The
RadioButtonList's AutoPostBack attribute is set to TRUE and its
SelectedIndexChanged event loads one of three UserControls into the
PlaceHolder's child control collection depending upon which of the three
radio buttons is selected. Each of the three UserControls have postback
events themselves triggered by button clicks. The problem I'm having is
keeping track of...

I have some complex logic which is fairly simply to build up into a string.
I needed a way to Eval this string and return a Boolean result.
This code works fine to achieve that goal.
My question is what happens to the dynamically created assembly when the
method is done running? Does GC take care of it?
Or is it stuck in RAM until the ASP.Net process is recycled?
This code executes pretty frequently (maybe 4 times per transaction) and...

I have what's probably a simple page lifecycle question related to
dynamically evaluating values that are placed by a repeater and dynmically
placing user controls that use those values.
I'm attempting to bind a user control I've written, "ImageBox", to a
repeater.
The user control takes a custom property, "ContentID", that will execute a
database lookup and load an image.

Hi All,
I am a little confused between a session and a process. I learnt that an Oracle Session is created for every login. And we can run many processes in one session. I have also learnt how to identify a session using V$SESSION and kill it (using ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION ‘SID’). By killing a session, kills all the processes ? Or am I getting this all wrong. Kindly explain of forward me to a good link. I tried to Google, but it tells only...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
