ASP.NET page in Crystal Reports

Hi All,

Can anybody throw some light on this?

I have a crystal report that shows data from a table. This works fine..
However, my requirement is to run an ASP.NET page within crystal
so that the user can preview and print the output of this page along with
regular table data.

Is this possible?

Crystal version is 8.5

TIA

Hi Prateek,

According to my understanding of your problem
1) You want to print the crystal reports if its automatically then check #1
otherwise check #2 and #3

Here is the solution check these links

#1 ) To just print the Crystal report

#2) To export to Excel and then Print by clicking the button in Excel
http://blogs.wwwcoder.com/shaunakp/a...2/09/1706.aspx

#3) To export to PDF and then print by clicking on the print button

There's a Crystal Reports hot fix for a particular but that I am experiencing in .NET -- DIV's get screwed up when you embed a Crystal Report in a web page. The bug is ADAPT00170558, the patch is 35395142. There's absolutely no documentation on a work-around, and the patch from CR is for version 9 only, not for .NET. Anyone know how to fix this aweful problem? Phil

I have a transaction log file where the DataSet table's Description column is actually delimited into "subcolumns" based upon the transaction id. I would like to parse these into separate fields for reporting purposes and am wondering if anyone knows if this is easily accomplished using the .NET version of Crystal Reports? For example, the description column may be reporting on a dataentry error as follows: TXNCODE: 1010001

I posted this question on the Crystal Reports Support site and I am still waiting for an answer. Using Crystal Reports 9.0 Developer Full edition: My Crystal report .RPT file has a Picture box which is an OLE Object located in the Page Header section of my .RPT file. This is the call which works perfectly in VB6 to format the crystal reports Page Header section of my report file EquipLst.rpt.

Dear All, Can any one help me out to call a crystal reports designed in 8.0 version in ASP.NET ? Crystal reports has given an asp page called rptserver.asp from which we can call the crystal reports in ASP and it is working fine in ASP. After converting this to ASP.NET it is not working. I am getting an error "CRAXDRT Error Occured on Server 13 - Type Mismatch".

I am getting mixed messages from the asp.net website hosting providers - some say they do not support Crystal Reports due to a $25,000 per cpu licensing fee, others say all I need to do is install Crystal Reports XI (about $500) on a dedicated server and it will run fine. Will Reports developed with the embeded Crystal Reports in VS 2005 run in a Crystal Reports XI environment? -- Thanks

I am currently using ASP.Net 2003 and will be upgrading to 2005 sometime in the near future. I have been having issues with using Crystal Reports that were included with .Net to handle my reporting needs. I was wondering if anybody has an opinion on how the new reportViewer control works in comparison to Crystal. One of the main problems I have been having with Crystal Reports is that they seem to load very slow no matter how small the...

I'm asking this on the off chance that someone out there might have seenit before. In my current application, when the user logs in, the state variable called "role" is assigned to them, detailing what they can do and what they cannot do. This variable follows them through the entire application (It is assigned using Session("role") = "xxx"). Problem is, when I run a crystal reports RPT file, I lose the session variable - it reverts...

I'm currently developing a web application with ASP .NET 1.1. I'm using the bundled Crystal Reports in Visual Studio 2003 to create reports for this application. The system specification requires a Gantt chart inside one of these reports, and that's the problem: this version of Crystal Reports doesn't have a Gantt chart option. I know that VS 2005 ships with Crystal Reports 10 version that supports Gantt charts. I'm avoiding the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
