Hi Every Body,
I have build the website in asp.net using
vb.net. I use the asp.net validation controls for client side validation.
When I run the site in Internet Explorer, It
run properly and every validation is working properly.
When I run the site in Mozilla and NetScap,
The Asp.net validation is not work properly.
What I have to do for making it compatible
with other browsers.

hi Muhammad Jamil Nawaz
As far as i am aware of the client side Validation controls do not directly
work in non IE browsers they just work at server side.
check this link http://blogs.msdn.com/scottgu/archiv...09/254583.aspx
Also in this link check the feedback about using browsercaps by Patrick
he claims that making changes in the browser caps section will enable client
side validations for non IE browsers too

Hope this helps

I've already created a simple method of ensuring that all form feilds
are filled out before the form is submitted to an ASP page for records
to be added to the data base.
(Sorry about the formating, my newsreader may make it a mess!)
<script language="javascript">

I have a web site that, due to maintenance by several people, some of whom are
fairly clueless about HTML and CSS, etc. (notably me), has gotten to the point
where I'm pretty sure it's suffering from bit rot. Though the pages seem to
display okay under IE and FF, I really think it's time for an under-the-hood
cleaning. I recently received a copy of Molly Holzschlag's "Spring Into HTML
and CSS," and in the first chapter, she makes a big...

I've created a page using VS.NET and page validator controls. The client
side validation works fine on IE, but does not even activate under
"alternate" browsers like Mozilla, Opera, etc. Why is this? I can't find any
differences on the pages produced, and Mozilla should be able to handle
everything IE can. How can I fix this?

I want to know if ASP.NET Web Forms Validation Controls are Server-Side or
Client-Side form validation? Since I think each validator control can select
either 1) JavaScript based error dialog or 2) show the error message next to
the control. For example, if the text field is empty with RequiredField
Validator control, it can show the value in ControlToValidate property in
two ways as I mentioned.
Please advise. Thanks!

Hi,
Does Validation controls like "Required field validator".... ever work with
Netscape or we have to write javascript for either client-side or write
server side validation.
Please advice.

We're running a site that has required field validation on the login page.
It works fine on our development / test machines. However, when I upload
this site to our live server i get this error.
In IE, the validation works, but no form ever gets submited. It doesn't even
process the click event of the button. In mozilla, it works 100% (this is
weird because it's usually the oposite).
Any thoughts?

Thought I'd share this since it took me a long time to get it working.
Thanks to a bunch of contributers in Google Groups who shared
javascript, etc.
The question was: How can I put a reset button on my ASP.NET web page,
and have an HTML reset button click clear 1) all validator text display
and 2) validation summary display. Problem was clearing them and yet
still leaving them working and visible if the user immediately began...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
