What about good old query string or form variables?

Thanx,
Other than these two, can we pass a xml file between web sites?

GET/POST are the only ways to access a web-page/send data to it. I think
you need to POST this xml file, using a form variable on the sender page,
and submit it to the second webpage.

Hi folks,
I have a client with four websites. Each site has a contact form that
is identical. They all have "required" fields validated through a
JavaScript onSubmit() function. Upon validation, post values go to a
PHP processing page that adds values to a database and generates an
email to someone in marketing.
For three of these sites, we have no problem, but the fourth keeps
sending in blank forms.

I must be missing something, because this should be easy to do.
After the user has selected several options on a page, I do a database query
which returns a few records that I want to pass to another page via XML. How
do I do this?
I typically Response.Redirect around my app, including various parameters.
Do I just include the XML as a parameter as in:
Response.Redirect("page.aspx?" & ds.WriteXML)

Hello all.
With a background in ASP, I am finding the work required for passing
values between pages mystifying. For various obvious reasons, I have
eliminated using cookies and session to store state data. The only
ASP.NET options left is to use the Server.Transfer to transfer to page
2 from page 1, and then use the context to get whatever values in page
1 from page 2. I do find this indeed a very elegant solution as now I
can pass...

Hi,
I work in Visual Basic .NET 2002 using ASP.NET.
I am wondering what would be the best way to store/pass variables
between pages.
(Sessions are sooo simple to use but I hear they are not the best....).
Having a class with static parameters????
Having a class that all the pages inherit???
(These last 2 ideas are coming from the news group but I do not quite
understand them).

Hello,
Im try to do some tricks to help make a "Search Many Sites from One
Location".
http://www.act.org.au/b_nexus.htm
What I have decided to do is this:
1. You can choose which site you wish to visit from the first page,
after pressing go it takes you to a frame page.

After a few hours of trial and error I have reached the following
conclusions, can you please tell me if I am right:
I have 2 aspx pages both with the same master page and I wish to pass
values from one to the other.
1. The postbackurl method doesn't seem to work with master pages. If I
take away the master pages it works.
2. The server.transfer method also doesn't work if I try to acess the

Hi,
I'm having issues with what I'm *sure* is a simple problem.
Basically having a problem passing a cookie between two sites.
On Site A you sign in, and create a cookie with the users ID in it
When the user wants to purchase anything (and enter CC details) we want to
pass the user to the secure site, which is on the same server.
Alas the cookie is not being picked up on the secure site.
a) Both sites are on the same box

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
