I have an Access application that has been running on my desktop system just fine. I
recently tried to move it to my laptop, and on the laptop I get a "Disc or Network Error"
message when I try and open it (after the opening Form has opened but before the data base

I'm no stranger to this error message, but I have a client who is
experiencing it, but, fortunately, without any actual data
corruption, and it's driving them made. Their inability to grasp
that the cause is fundamentally a networking problem is also making
me pull my hair out.
Some history:
The network is composed of five computers dating back to 1995, each
purchased one at a time, and each having a different OS, etc. Until

I use FolderBrowserDlg for user to select a folder path then store it in the
sql table. I then retrieve it to concatenate in a sqlcommand text to retrive
files from that directory but it won't work because the database has it as
"\\Support\VMS\VMSDB" while the C# code expects to see
@"\\Support\\VMS\\VMSDB" . Is there a way to fix this?

I have been having trouble the last few days opening any ASP.NET web
forms in the design view in the designer. Every time I clicked on an
aspx file I got a message box with the error "Unable to open in
designer. Illegal characters in path" and the file is instead opened
in HTML view. I don't know what application or situation may have

Why does if(win==null || win.closed) return true after one PDF is open.
Something very wierd going on with IE 6. I also get a member not
found error if a child window is already open. This script works fine
if the child window contains HTML, just not a PDF. Ideas? Note: These
