Hi,
I am facing one problem. I have 2 pages in my application.
Page1.aspx and Page2.aspx
On Page1.aspx I have one asp button. By clicking that button I redirect the
page to Page2.aspx. Page2.aspx page load event takes 30 seconds to execute.
So for that, I want to show a message to the User "Please wait while the
page executes ...".
For this, I have written a javascript function, which I call on button
click___
function Wait()
{
document.write( "Please wait while the page executes ...");
}
The message can be seen properly, but the event never gets fire to server
because the document.write clears the page. Pease let me know any
alternative or solution to this problem. Thanks in advance... 1 1050

I posted this on the asp.net group, also. I wasn't sure whether this was an
asp.net problem or a javascript problem.
I have a page that was originally created from a program I found on the net
that works well as an html page.
It brings up a modal popup window that I have been trying to work out for
days now and this was the closest I have been able to come.
I added a little asp.net code and an asp.net button and cannot get it to

Here's a little test app to demonstrate a problem I'm having.
It creates four buttons, each one with the different FlatStyle types
available. Three of them behave exactly the same way(and the way I'd
anticipate), but the FlatStyle.System one does not.
If you click on any of the buttons, use the enter key, or the
spacebar, they will bring up a messagebox that says "Activate".
Except the FlatStyle.System one, which will bring up _two_...

I am trying to handle a button click event, which updates a web control
table with data. The button is dynamically created in the table itself.
When I call updateTable() in the Page_Load the new data from the button is
not available at this time as to allow the table to properly update.
So basically, I need to call UpdateTable() twice, once from page load and
once from button. This causes problems with my application, and I was
trying...

This is an old problem,, but I never had it so bad like this before,,
the events are refiring when clicking the Browser refresh button.
In the Submit button in my webform, I capture the server side click
event and I update session information to track the visibilty of some
panels in a wizard type navigation ("Next >>" and "<< Back" buttons)..
but the refresh button makes another event firing and takes the whole
thing to a Choes..

Hi!
This has been annoying me all day, and I can't get it to work It is really
driving me nuts!
Basicly this simple webapp created to illustrate my problem, renders five
buttons, and adds a handler to the click event. When a button is clicked,
the background-color is set to blue.
Try running the page, and clicking the "Do stuff and update controls

the Edit, Update, Cancel, and Delete buttons in my datagrid are causing
validation elsewhere on the page. I want to specify that these buttons
should not cause validation but they have no design time property of
causevalidation.
How can I keep them from causing validation?
Thanks,

I'm reposting this. I'm kinda in a bind untill i get this figured out, so if
anyone has some input it would sure help me out.
Ok, I’ve noticed a few gridview problems floating around the forum. Everyone
wants to do a java confirmation box when a user clicks the delete button.
Fair enough, basic user design rules state that you should always confirm a
delete action. There is also a consensus that the best way to do this is a
template...

A couple of easy questions here hopefully. I've been working on two
different database projects which make use of multiple
forms.
1. Where's the best/recommended placement for command buttons for things
like delete, save, edit, cancel buttons - in the footer, or on the form
detail section?
2. If in the footer, how do you add them to the tab order?

Hi,
I posted this question yesterday but didn't get the answer I needed.
I am DESPERATE to get this working so I'm re-posting it because I
don't think I worded it correctly.
I have a GridView which is databound to a table. All the data is
being pulled correctly so there is no problem there.
On each row I have an image button which is attached to a

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
