Hi,
i need to develop a gui which will load several "windows" depending on
what the users selects in the menu and i thought i could accomplish this
with panels.
What i'm trying to do to test this is load an initial panel and then
when the user hits a button load a second panel. This doesn't seem to work.
1. what's the appropriate way of switching panels?
2. the loadNewPanel function seem wrong. I always get loading panel two".

Hi
Im having trouble with the following code that seems to be behave
differently when called from the browser as opposed to the command
line. The calling script is a cgi that forks, with the child trying to
call another cgi script and pass arguments to it. It works fine from
the command line, and calls the required script and passes the
arguments correctly. However, when it is run on the browser, it calls
the script but does not pass...

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can help here. We have a site where most of
the site opens in a window with no toolbars or menubar:
window.open('mypage.aspx','self','toolbar=0, menubar=0, etc, etc)
This is because it's a data driven site where space is at a premium and
we'd rather discourage use of back, stop and refresh.
The problem arises because some "view data" pages are designed to be
printed and have an onclick="window.print();"...

I've been spending today learning python and as an exercise I've ported
a program I wrote in java that unscrambles a word. Before describing
the problem, here's the code:
*--beginning of file--*
#!/usr/bin/python
# Filename: unscram.py
def sort_string(word):
'''Returns word in lowercase sorted alphabetically'''

Hey all, I'm trying to write a proxy server so that I can capture all data
sent from my web browser to any web server and then capture the response from
the server and send that back to the browser.
However, I've encountered a strange problem where the browser will not load
the data sent to it from my proxy server. I'm successfully able to capture
the data sent from the browser, then I'm able to capture the data sent back
from the web...

Hi,
We are experiencing a frequent problem with an ASP.NET application using IE.
We have a registration process that involves an Infragistics grid on one of
the pages. Most often, this problem occurs on this one particular page.
The problem itself, is that clicking a button to submit to the server, does
not work. The little icon in the upper right corner is moving, but there is
no progress bar on the bottom of IE. It looks like IE...

I successfully create a .NET Component (Visual Basic .NET) that would
print, unfortunately when used within a web browser it appears that .NET
security doesn't allow you to run code that interacts with the file system
(including printing) from the web browser. How do I disabled this so I can
get my windows form control to work within IE?
Also, do any have any printing code or know how I can implement multipage
printing using the...

I want to use history.go() to navigate between my previously loaded pages.
I'm looking for a way to trigger a function call when a page is accessed
using history.go(). Is there an event generated?
Is there a method for detecting what page the user came from when a page
is accessed using history.go()?

Wondering if anyone can recomend some sample code for dynamically
loading the GD module.
I have tried setting the extension dir in php.ini, and loading the GD
module from there when apache is started, but it won't load.
There is also the option of dynamically loading the module at run time
of the script.
LD() i believe is the call.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.

Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
