Hi All
Apols to past readers who may have seen something like this a couple of days
ago in this NG, but I'm on a different track.
Basically does anybody know what the answer is for when you visit a web site
(more so with IE 6 and WinXP) and some of the pics (gifs/jpgs) don't appear.
Instead the white box with the red cross takes it's place until you
right-click on the pic and select Show Pictures.

Missing Help Files
When I enter "recordset" as the keyword and search the Visual Basic Help index,
I get many topics of interest in the resulting list. But there isn't any
information available from clicking on many of the available topics (mostly
methods but some properties are also unavailable). This same problem occurs
with many, if not most, keywords.
Is there any way I can activate these "missing" help topics? HELP!

I've been trying to compile the old DefaultWsdlHelpGenerator.aspx page
shipped with .Net Fx 1.1 bits in VS 2005 RTM. Currently I am getting
bunch of errors described here
(http://forums.asp.net/1067282/ShowPost.aspx) and a few more. For
example, some of the HTML controls do not seem to have old properties
(For example ItemTemplate of Repeater control does not have an
attribute named 'name'). Is there an easy way to get rid of these...

My server is running under Windows SBS 2003. I've deleted some directories
that was containing Outlook Web Access files, it was done few months ago by
mistake. Now I want to use OWA for some distant users. So, I tried the
procedure on the MS website:
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B883380&x=13&y=19
I've done all of the Method 1, but the files have not been re-created, and I
get this Event:

I can set up CustomErrors to redirect a missing aspx page to Register.aspx like:
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="ErrorPage.aspx">
<error statusCode="404" redirect="Register.aspx"/>
</customErrors>
I've got a client who needs a missing php page to redirect to Register.aspx.
This gets caught by IIS, not ASP, so instead of redirecting, I get a standard
404 error msg.

We have a strange situation where some of the referring URL's are
missing from our log files. This is on .NET application on IIS 6.0.
Here is what is happening:
Page a.aspx has a form that POST's to a.aspx. If there are errors with
the form information, then a.aspx is displayed with an error message to
the user.
If all the information is correct then it is redirected
(response.redirect) - GET to page b.aspx. In this GET to b.aspx (and

Hi,
We have created new .NET web service and running it through the default test
page and it's working fine in our development environment.
When we moved the web service to the acceptance environment then also it is
successfully displaying the default testpage given by the .NET , but when we
are providing the values to the parameters of webmethod on test page and
click on the invoke button it gives us the error of "page cannot be...

OK here is the issue. I have IIS 6.0 set up to redirect missing pages
to pagenotfound.aspx. I have asp.net set up in the web.config to
redirect missing pages to pagenotfound.aspx. I am using master pages
and themes. I can not make any changes to the paths of the css files
as those are in the head control on the page that is generated from
the mystical land that is Microsoft.I test that these are working by
going to pages that do not exist....

You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
