I am attempting to create drop down menus for a web page. The simplist
approach I see is to create two images. One is a tab image and the
other is a menu image. In my code a present the tab image when the page
loads. Associated with the tab image is a mouseover event to show the
menu image by replaceing the image source.. A usemap is used to provide
the links on the menu image. Click and off you go. If you move off the
menu without...

I'm trying to trigger a javascript call when someone clicks on an
image.
<a href="javascript:void(0)" onClick="alert('hi');"><IMG src="foo.gif"
usemap="#someImageMap" border="0"></a>
This works in I.E., but will only work in Mozilla (using 1.0.5) if
there is text and the user must click on the text and not the image to
trigger the alert:

Hello!
I have an image that uses an image map for navigation. We would like a
pull-down menu to appear when the user mouses over the link. The
pull-down menu is another image that was created to retain the look of
the site and would use another image map for it's links.
Is this possible? If so, can someone give me a URL so I can see how
others did this?

I have an image scrolling in a viewport for a panoramic image
viewer. The viewport can be resized to several set resolutions so people
can adjust the size according to their bandwidth. There are hotspots on
the image which have been defined using an image map. This map is
generated in javascript using the following code (in the object 'tour.'):
makeImageMap: function() {
// creates an HTML nodeset which is an imagemap for the current...

This is an update from a previous post, I just simplified the code.
It seems that I can't get the image map to work with IE7. The page is
located here http://www.theknopps.com/test.html and the source below.
I can't seem to figure out why IE7 won't recognize the image map. Thanks
for your help

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
