I'm having a problem with this product.
When I was using "Visual Studio.NET 1.0" to develop a
project, we had no issues, but now after migrating
to "Visual Studio.NET 2003" it does not use the same
properties and methods.
The error we're having now is:
The base class includes the field 'CR_Viewer', but its

Hello NG,
After a bit of a wait my bookstore, SoftPro of Waltham, MA, got in the Brian
Bischof book: Crystal Reports .NET Programming. I have read a few books on
CR, but I am very new to it, C#, and SQL. The book is excellent.
Undaunted, I have plowed into a conversion of my old COBOL ERP system,
MCS-3, into C#. I have quite a bit of Inventory Control done and working.
For reports I am trying to use CR. I have a half a dozen of them...

Using ideas provided by some of you I was able to figure out how to get the
names of the parameters fields of a crystal report specified at run time.
The code below just basically puts the data into a comboBox. One thing I
noticed, however, is that this method shows me both the parameters used by
the main report and parameters used by the sub-report(s).

Consider this approach:
Embed the report in your project (add it to the project)
Then put this code in the page that holds the viewer
control
'Set the connection information
crConnectionInfo.ServerName = "servername"
crConnectionInfo.DatabaseName = "dbname"

Hi,
I previously used CR v 4.6.
After I created report and saved it as a file , I only need to add control
in VB and set some properties .
Inside VB such line of code : cr.PrintReport.
And after it I can see report
Now I am going to use CR v 9.
But inside VB I can not find component (OCX) for working with report.
Maybe something was changed since my previous experience.

I can't believe that there aren't lots of developers who:
1. create a crystal report that connects to sql server
2. calls the report using the crystalreportviewer control to view it and
then, if appropriate, print it
3. tries to deploy that report to the client's database, but now it calls
for a different database name
Yet I can't get an answer to the question:
I have developed numerous reports in an app (Windows Database App) that...

Having a really hard time finding solid examples on deploying a
CR .NET applcation on my intranet. I'll explain what I've done so far,
and toward the bottom is where I can't print using the report viewer's
gui button.
I have a Windows XP sp2 Client machine used for development, it has
Visual Studio 2005 sp1 and CR XI R2 Developer Version.
My webserver is running Windows Server 2003 sp1, IIS 6.0, has CR XI R2

Hello guys!
I'd like to use Crystal Reports in my application to print out some data. I added an instance of the crystalReportViewer class to my form. Then I created a DataSet based on a Access databse which contains some data. Then I created a report with te wizard and added to it some fields from the DataSet.
When I run the program, the data aren't visible in the report. I tried to refresh the view and they're still not shown. Is there a...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
