Hi All!
I have a web application designed to allow non-english characters to be
entered in through a form, held in Access and displayed on another page.
Each of my pages have the following meta tag:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
My problem is this: if I go to the data entry page and enter Unicode text in
Netscape, the text displays ok -- in Netscape, not in IE. Conversely, when I

My JavaScript Form Validation doesn't work at all in Netscape, but it
works fine in IE.
I made some of the suggested changes which enabled it to work in IE.
I couldn't make all the changes because then it didn't work in IE.
How can I enable this javascipt form validation to work in Netscape?
When I use netscape, none of the alert boxes appear. It submits the
form without validating anything.

Hi,
The problem is like this, I have a textbox and a button, I wanted to disable
the enter key, so as to prevent the user from hitting the enter and seeing
undesirable results. I used this function

Here is the problem. The following script/html code works in IE, not
Netscape. The javascript portion produces the text to be dynamically written
in the
<A HREF="">HEREHEREHERE</A> portion...
The HEREHEREHEREHERE writes fine in internet explorer, but does not appear
at all in Netscape 7.1. I think it might have something to do with layers...
How do I correct this? Thanks.

Hi!
I have a web page where I want to intercept keypress events in an INPUT-tag
and check if it is the Enter key, which calls another function that executes
a search. My code runs on Netscape 7 for Windows, IE 6 for Windows and IE5.1
for Mac, but not on Netscape 7 for Mac. When I press the Enter key, the
event gets caught but it does not get prevented and the search is never
executed.

I have an interesting problem when I run the following
code in Netscape (7.02) vs. IE. This page works great in
IE and all my controls bring up the validation summary
dialog box if the required field is not filled out.
However in Netscape NONE of the required field
validations occurs at all in Netscape. The form is
posting correctly because I can walk through the post
back process. Any ideas why this is happening or how to
fix it?

hello all,
In INTERNET EXPLORER 6, on pressing the Enter Key, either the
page is Submitted or the onKeyDown/onKeyPress
is invoked.
IN NETSCAPE 4.78 on a solaris platform, the same does not happen...
i.e. On pressing the Enter Key the page is not Submitted
Does anyone know, if i have to change some settings ???
Can i use onKeyDown/onKeyPress on NETSCAPE 4.78 on a
SOLARIS 9 platform ??? this works fine on IE6 on windows.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
