Hi,
I have the below code in an asp page. When I run this page in IE or Opera it
correctly displays the header info and does not redirect me to 'test.html'.
However, when I run this in Netscape it goes straight to the redirect page
'test.html' which indicates that javascript is not enabled and it also does
not display the header info. Can someone tell me why this is happening?
<%@ Language=VBScript%>

To all Mozilla JS Guru's (IE dudes welcome),
I have spent the last three years developing complex DHTML
applications that must work in IE 5.5sp2+ but I use Mozilla 1.3+** to
do all my development. I have build some cross browser debuggers so my
users can send me verbose debug dumps. I have some success but have
come to a roadblock with the basic underlying JavaScript models.
The only way to get a complete stack in IE is to use the...

How is it possible that the question "How do I detect which browser
the user has" is missing from this FAQ:
http://www.faqts.com/knowledge_base/index.phtml/fid/125
and is only here on this with a link to old information that suggests
use of "navigator":

Hi all
I am very new to ASP.Net. I am trying to create a sniffer for our program. We want our users to click our sniffer and hopefully the sniffer will check their computer against our requirements. I would like to ask experts like you to see which items are actually doable with ASP.Net. Below I listed all of the items we are looking for but I can understand if some of the items are impossible to check/sniff. We would like to create a sniffer...

Greetings all -
We have a client who uses Lotus Notes as their default e-mail. The version
of Lotus they use can run internet explorer windows within Lotus. I'd like
to find if they are launching our web application through lotus notes or
not.
I've stumbled across the following code:

I'm having some serious difficulties with my ASP.Net 2.0 app rendering in
Safari 2.0.3. The most immediate problem is that the menu control doesn't
seem to work at all, particularly the use of dynamic levels.
I've Googled around a bit and determined that the problem is not so much
with Safari as it is with ASP.Net inaccurately determining the browser
capabilites for that browser. In the 2.0 Framework it appears that browser
caps are...

So I'm half way through overseeing a large project in ASP.NET 2.0. My
superiors have decided that it would be nice if we ensured the site worked
on all the major platforms (as they see it: IE, FireFox, and Safari). We've
made heavy usage of the new MENU control and other intrinsic 2.0
controls.... nothing fancy! just using ASP.NET's built-in controls and very
nice, pervasive, and clean usage of CSS.
Now I find after more testing that the...

We want to keep track of what OS/Browser people are using for our website.
How can I find that out so that I can write it to a DB ? I know how to get
it into the DB; I just need to know how to get that stuff in .Net.
Thanks.

Hi everybody,
I've got an ASP.NET 1.1 application and I need to add to it new Browser
Capabilities information for 3 new cellular phones.
I used to use http://www.asp.net/mobile/profile/MyDevices.aspx to detect the
Browser Capabilities for my devices, but now I can't get to that page.
When I try to get there I get a login page.
When I try to login it shows the same login page WITHOUT any error.
I've got an account in www.asp.net (when...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
