format datalist "cells"

I have a datalist and I need to change the text in the header section of the
datalist
The data is coming out such as 1 2 3 4 5 6 and if it equals 5 or 6 i need it
to say OT instead of 5 or 6. How can i do that within a datalist?

I've tried
If e.Item.DataItem ("period") = "5" Then
e.Item.DataItem = "OT"
End If

and it didn't work, any other ideas or suggestions

I have a porgram that opens an excel workbook and modifies some data, but almost randomly a box will pop up in the workbook telling me the file is now available and to hit ok or cancel. This crashes my program. Is there a way to open the workbook so that it does not display this box? I open the workbook as an object because some people here use office 2000 and some use xp 'create the xl object Dim xl As Object

I am creating an Excel workbook using VB.NET, and have run into a problem. Excel at times insists on reformatting data that I enter into cells, e.g., converting "01234" to "1234", and this screws me up when I need to read the data back. When I run into this problem using Excel interactively I simply change the cell Number format from "General" to "Text", but I haven't been able to figure out how to do this using VB.NET. Here is a code...

I'm making admin forms. I'm wondering if there is a way to have the server programmatically assign alternating colors in a regular table (not a datalist control). I notice ASP.NET 2 offers a runat="server" attribute on tables, leading me to believe that this should be possible. Any ideas? I'm using C#. Thanks, -KF

I made a page with a gridview that has rows show a different color if a number in a column is greater than or equal to 45. I also did this conditional formatting for the column next to it. Here's my code. in the aspx file =============================== <asp:GridView ID="gvData" runat="server" OnRowDataBound="doColor"> =============================== in the aspx.vb file

Hi group, I would like to convert the output of the SQL query, or more generally I would like to convert any "table" data to the html table. I would like to set some rules to format cells, columns or rows (font, colour etc.) of the html table, according to the values in the specific cells. Googling for a while I have found only this tool: http://pasko.net/PyHtmlTable/

Having a hard time phrasing this in the form of a question... The other day I saw a thread where someone asked about overrideable properties and nobody offered the advice that properties are Bad. So maybe we've got over that. I suppose properties could have Bad consequences if a user doesn't know they exist and think that a certain property of an object is just an ordinary attribute. But that applies to

The only browser I have encountered that supports <colgroup><col class="behold"></colgroup> to apply a CSS style to a whole column, is Microsoft Internet Explorer. I have been told it SHOULD NOT do so, since this is not part of the specification. How then to you apply styles to entire columns? Surely you don't have to write <td class="behold"on every row item.

Hey all, I have a piece of code that dumps a bunch of data into a spreadsheet. Also rearranges it into a pivot table and then graphs the pivot table as well so my boss can get a clear view of the data. This question is two part. One, I seem to be getting the title error at the starting line stating: oSheet.Range(rng).Select With Selection shp.Left = .Left shp.Top = .Top

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
