Hi everyone,
I've been using ASP on a few different projects over the past year, either
using Javascript or VBScript. During that time, I've made use of session
variables, but even then, I've tried to keep those variables to a minimum
(which is not always easy).
I've also read on many ASP resource sites (such as fuzzysoftware.com, etc)
that the use of session variables can be a no-no, while others say that it's
perfectly valid to use...

I've noticed that session variables will persist on Mac IE even after all
browser windows have been closed. One must quit the program to clear the
session variables. This presents a security risk for my session variable
based security scheme.
Basically, the risk is that a user will login to my site, close the window
when done and allow someone else to come up to the machine, go back to my

I have various web pages in two different "web application" project
assemblies (WebClient1 and WebClient2), and another "class library" assembly
WebLib. I have methods in the library which set and read session variables.
However, I'm finding that if I set a session variable in a call from
WebClient1, I cannot read that session variable in a call from WebClient2.
Is this normal? What can I do about this ?

Ok, I know that .net inherently does not share session data across asp.net
projects, but is there any decent work around to this.
We already have a big chunk of our application using the asp.net session
object (using state service). I'd like to start breaking out
our functionality into component projects, but I'd like to get this session
issue worked out first.
Any ideas??

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
