Iframes and session variables--HELP requested

We have a asp.net application that holds data in session variables(items ).
The admin page of the application has a iframe.
In this iframe we load different pages(.aspx) .
The pages resides in the same application!!

In the main page(page with iframe) we load data from a database in sessions variables(type dataset).
From the pages in the iframe we try to read data from the correct session variable.
This works fine on a local IIS but as soon as we try to install this on a
WIN 2000 test server it doesn't recognize or cannot read the session variables.

What is the problem here?
Is it possible to share session variables between a page with the iframe and the page loaded in the iframe?

Thanxs in advance!

greetzzz

I have a html portal page, where there are several IFrames. All IFrames point to aspx pages that belong to one aspnet web application. The problem I am having is that when I first go to the html page, a new aspnet session is started FOR EACH IFrame!! This means that 7-8 sessions are started. After this, it seems as the web application only uses that last session.

I simply want to execute some code once when a new session of my ASP.NET application is started (I'm not using session state for anything else - just writing some data to a database). I thought that I could simply put the code in the Session_Start event procedure in Global.asax.cs, however, the event procedure executes and a new session is created every time any page is requested - not just for the first page requested....

I tried using <%if Request.ServerVariables("REQUEST_METHOD") = "POST" then%> <!--it is requested from "Application_Form.asp, do something-->

I have an application that is using Session state. On one page, I use the Session.Add() method to create the Key/Value pair for the first time. I am then sent to another page using Response.Redirect(). On the page I am sent to, I can view the Session's value using Session("mykey"), but it will not let me remove or modify it. I have tried Session("mykey"), Session.Remove("mykey"), Session.Clear(), and Session.Abandon(). None of these seemed...

Hi, I have a webpage where Im creating AJAX type requests by loading dynamic pages containg JavaScript into hidden iFrames. The reason I am opting for this method over XmlHttpRequest object requests is because I wish for some of my requests to be over a secure https:// connection and other not so private requests to be made over http:// .. using XmlHttpRequest I am unable to make requests between two domains http/ https from the one...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
