My program seems to be coming up with a phantom folder.
The folder doesn't show up until I do my login page from my forms
authentication web.config setup.
Before I get the login pages all my paths look correct. For example: http://192.168.122.55/contour/VDW/default.asp
After I go the login page the same page looks like this: http://192.168.122.55/contour/(0vsxt...dw/default.asp
All my pages now have this extra folder (0vsxtf55wzxyqn 55c5fdcjnn),
..
What would be causing this?
Thanks,
Tom

The number is coming from cookieless sessions, which you must have turned
on. This is used to track sessions when cookies aren't to be used. Check
in your web.config, there's a flag (boolean) that turns this on/off.

Hi, I am trying to find a VB way that would create a folder on all
existing drives - the folder name would be the same on each drive. ie
c:\backup, d:\backup, etc. But the folders would only be created if
they don't already exist, and if the drive happens to be one a folder
cannot be created on (ie a cdrom drive) it would just be skipped
without the code generating any errors.
your help on this would be most appreciated. jenny

Hi,
I'm trying to clear the TIF on Windows XP programmatically with the
below code.
This code works fine on any folder but the TIF. For some reason the
atEnd() statements always defaults to true and no files are deleted in
the folder.
The peculiarity of this issue is that the files/subfolders cannot be
seen through the windows explorer either. I can only access/delete
them through a command shell.
Any ideas?

I am working on a C# ASP.NET project where I need to allow the user to
browse to a folder. The only way I see how to do this is use <input
type=file>. But this makes the user select a file and returns folder
+ filename. I only want the folder path.
Does someone have a possible solution other than <input type=file>?

Hi,
I am facing a different problem in my application. In that I am uploading a

too. When I executed the application using the localhost it works fine. But
when my machine acts as a client and executes the application from another
machine (considered as the server) it is telling that the folder is not
found, even if the folder is present in the client machine. The...

Hi everyone
Unless you have a nice tool handy, calculating many folder sizes for

Hi,
I want to change the default installation folder to my own path. I did
it by changing the application folder's DefaultLocation property. The
installation works fine as long the path that I give is complete path.
If I give relative path, there is an error.
The path is relative to the location of my solution folder. Just to be
more clear, I have several projects in my solution. The setup project
contains one executable as the primary...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
