VB image resize example

Does anyone have any example ASP.NET code using VB to help me with resizing
an image?

I have a form to let users upload images, which works fine, but im stumped
when it comes to creating a thumbnail for them. I can find a few examples in
C# but that means nothing to me.

Image resizing is done through the supplied framework classes.
How you should work with that does NOT depend on the
language used!

I don't use VB myself, so I can't give you a complete example,
but basically it's a matter of using the Bitmap constructor
that accepts an existing bitmap plus a size as parameters,
to create a new bitmap.

The Microsoft .Net SDK has plenty of examples in every .Net language, and
it's free!

Hello all! I been trying to get a handle with Images. I have learned alot from the fine people here. So, I also learned that thumbnail images look terrible taken from a digital cam. I know why they look bad. So what is the best way to resize an image. I'm not too concerned about size, but I guess I would like to compress it on the upload. Any thoughts?

Howdy, I have a function that uploads an image and that works great. I love ..Nets built in upload, so much easier than 3rd party uploaders! Now I am making a public function that will take the path of the uploaded image, and resize it with the provided dimensions. My function is below. The current function is returning an error when run from the upload function: A generic error occurred in GDI+. Not sure what exactly that means. From what...

Hi, I'm using the Image module to resize PNG images from 300 to 100dpi for use in HTML pages, but I'm losing some vertical and horizontal lines in the images (usually images of x-y plots). Here's what I do: import Image def imgResize(self, filename): img = Image.open(filename) dpi = img.info.get('dpi') if dpi and 295 < int(dpi) < 305:

Whilst I am resizing images I am losing quality. This is only happening in small amounts, but if you repeatedly put the same image through the following code, the image quality slowly degrades. Can anyone spot why this may be happening? Should it only deteriate once upon intitially going through this procedure? The deterioration is subtle, but after a few iterations is quite noticeable..: private static System.Drawing.Image...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
