Deploy WebForm project to Win Serv 2003

mg
I get the message "server is not running ASP.NET version 1.1" when I try to deploy a WebForm app to Windows Server 2003. In the past, the same deploy to Windows Server 2000 was completely successful.
But, ASP.NET 1.1 is part of the OS, right out of the box. Can you suggest what I need to do to deploy to Windows Server 2003?

I take it that you have gone into the IIS applet to switch things on? Out of
the box, Windows 2003 doesn't do much because the security lockdown.

Also, you'll want to run this tool to ensure things are running.

"Could not add an instance of DS412.MessageDataSet to the designer. To resolve this problem, build the project, fix any errors, and add the instance to the designer again."

I just realized that the code I inherited is using all asp.net server controls (ie. webform controls) and when I try to update textboxes on the client side, I lose the new value of the textbox when submitting the form to update the database. The server doesn't have the client side value any more. It seems to me that as I begin to write the client side javacript code for form validation and client side editing capabilities in order to save...

I have seen many posts of people with the same problem as me (attached below), but I have yet to see any solutions posted. Has anyone figured out how to deploy an Asp.net web site to the webserver in any place other than the default website? I do not want to install it there as our IIS has multiple websites, but nowhere is there an option when creating the install package in Visual Studio to specify what website on the server you want to...

Hi, I have developed a a web application with ASP.NET 2.0 and VS 2005. My client wants to be delivered a .msi file that installs the app. My big problem is that the .msi also deploys the source code files which I strongly don't want to happen. How to create a setup project that does not include the source files but only the aspx, config and some binaries (as it was with VS 2003 setup projects)?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
