What's the best way to "store" and display a value in a text box that
changes from day to day. An example of this would be where the name of the
user is manually typed in after using the datbase, along with (say) the
date.
ATM, I have a table with (say) 4 fields. Each field is linked to a column in
a combo box. The combo box is invisible on the form. The text boxes display
previous data using code something like this...
Private Sub...

I cannot a row to this bound DataGrid to SAVE MY LIFE! I have tried
everything and I am at a loss. The using goes into add mode with the add
button adds his data then updates with the update button, seems simple.
I am using ALL visual controls (supposedly to simplify things. If I was not
using the visual controls and calling an ExecuteNonQuery no prob.
Please look at my code and tell me what I am doing wrong. Also, what are the

I am using .Net 2003. I have been working with this
ASP.Net webform that I created a few weeks ago. It has
been working fine.
However, while modifying the webform today, this webform
stopped working and now only gives me the following error
message. I was only modifying the webform code, nothing
else. But now my webform won't display in a browser.
What can I do?

Hi,
I built an aspx page with c#. There are many textbox and a
submit button. When I input data in form and click submit,
I saw their values are null in debug window.
I checked namespace is correct.
What is the potential bug in my program?

It seems whenever I add a new field to a database table that's queried
by DataAdapters in my project, I get run-time errors because I don't
go back and re-generate all the DataAdapters to read the new field.
When I first generate the DataAdapter using the wizard, the list of
fields in the database table gets hard-coded into the SelectCommand:
SELECT ID, username, password_hash, email_address, datetime_created
FROM wbuser

Hi everyone,
I currently develop an application in vs.net 2005 with vb.net.
I was trying to use typed dataset and I've got in trouble for
converting untyped dataset
into Typed DataSet. I don't know why I cannot perform this casting
operation properly.
First off, I've got my Typed DataSet named "AuthInfo" declared and I
then created an instance of that class. What I'd like to do next is to
perform querying through the method...

Hi all,
This post is sort of tangentially related to my earlier posts on
configuration files for DLLs.
Does anyone know how to create typed DataSets using VS2005's new DataSet
designer, but with the ability to configure the connection string via a
config file? The designer seems to hard-code the connection string into the
dataset itself, which just can't be right.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
