I have a basic form with some textboxes and several
requiredfielfva lidators. On my development machine, the validation for
this form works fine. On the remote server, the form posts back with
no attempt at validation at all. It's as if the
requiredfieldva lidators weren't even there. The kicker is, that a test
form on the remote server DOES validate! Any idea as to what would
keep this form from validating?
Thanks,
Jack Wheeler 1 1042
I had that problem when i had a CustomValidator control on a page and ClientValidatio n was set to true but i did not provide any JavaScript code for client validation.
On Win2003 box the whole validation was ignored.
And i could not catch it because i had a win2000 on my machine and there it worked as expected.

Hello guys,
now that I'm that I'm working on my first major 'open' forms (with
uncontrolled users I mean, not a secure backend-interface), I'd like to add
a lot of possibilities to check wether certain fields match certain
criteria, and inform the user in different ways when the data is wrong
(offcourse, this will be checked on posting the data again, but that's
something I've got a lot of experience with).
Now, offcourse it's...

Hi,
I have a problem that I have been trying to figure for a couple of days,
and am wondering if anyone out there would be so kind as to give me a
solution. (Deadline time)
I am trying to validate a form. Its quite a simple form, but I am a wee
bit stuck. Baically it consists of 9 text input fields and a select
element. All elements on the form, have to have a value in them
(manditory), BUT 2 items (txtEmail, and txtDOB) have to match...

We've set up our DB2 database on a separate server than our application server (both UNIX). Now when I issue the connect statement, I also need to pass the user id and the password. All our production scripts will run under a single production id, but I do not want to pass the password unencrypted. Is there a best practice for doing this?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
