handling tree view web control events

Hi everybody
Can any one give an example for handling a tree view
web control event, inside an asp.net application?

I am able to build a tree view using this control on an asp.net web form (on
page load) but can not handle its events later on..

html tag includes the reference to the event handler and looks like this:
<iewc:treevie w1 id="treeview1" runat="server" Expand = "treeview1_expa nd">

then the aspx.vb file includes the treeview1_expan d() code:
Public Sub TreeView1_Expan d(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As
Microsoft.Web.U I.WebControls.T reeViewClickEve ntArgs) Handles
TreeView1.Expan d

this file also includes a withevents declaration for treeview1.

Thanks for your attention

It won't respond to events straight away if autopostback is false (default).

VB's more declarative nature of handling events is golden. I'm hoping C# will acquire this type of deal, in addition to the anonymous delegates. could do same as vb (actually would be easier to parse then vb due to braces) whereas you look for Handles keyword after method sig, but before opening brace of the method. compiler would implicitly build event handling code for all typed constructions, ie, any variables instances constructed...

Does anyone know of a good article that discusses creating a "Tree View" control in ASP.NET? Or perhaps a Tree View Control that comes with source code? I have come across a lot of tree controls for ASP.NET however most of them are already compiled and don't come with source code. I am really just looking for an example on how to create my own Tree Control. Thanks a bunch.

I have a situation where there are two controls on the master page: a tree with a menu structure (whose content and structure is customizable by each user) and a menu control which displays the structure in a more styled form. The menu needs to get data from the tree in order to initialize properly and can do so only after the tree has been initialized so that its data is available. I can do this on a regular ASP.NET form since I can...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
