VB's more declarative nature of handling events is golden. I'm hoping C#
will acquire this type of deal, in addition to the anonymous delegates.
could do same as vb (actually would be easier to parse then vb due to
braces) whereas you look for Handles keyword after method sig, but before
opening brace of the method.
compiler would implicitly build event handling code for all typed
constructions, ie, any variables instances constructed...

Since I am being challenged with learning c# I figured I could pass
some of the pain on to you guys :-)
I have another question(this one is important for me to fix before I
can get my app to Beta)
My app (an image viewer) opens with a Main form with a file explorer if
you open the program with the exe, but opens with the ImageView form if
you double click an image file, if you want to see the Main form once

Hello,
I have written an application using the calendar control in a regular aspx
application, to prove I could get the functionality I wanted. Which is to
display the current month and populate the date cells with events kept in a
database. I'm using the DayRender event of the calendar control to query the
database and insert new label controls into each cell, for each event.
Here's the problem..
When using the same logic in a web...

Hi everybody
Can any one give an example for handling a tree view
web control event, inside an asp.net application?
I am able to build a tree view using this control on an asp.net web form (on
page load) but can not handle its events later on..
html tag includes the reference to the event handler and looks like this:
<iewc:treeview1 id="treeview1" runat="server" Expand = "treeview1_expand">

Does anyone know of a good article that discusses creating a "Tree
View" control in ASP.NET? Or perhaps a Tree View Control that comes
with source code? I have come across a lot of tree controls for ASP.NET
however most of them are already compiled and don't come with source
code. I am really just looking for an example on how to create my own
Tree Control. Thanks a bunch.

Hail the experts!!!
I'm creating a web user control which displays a hierarchical tree of
items from an xml string passed to the control (from the host page)
through an exposed property.
This xml gets created in the Page_Load method of the host page
Each tree item displayed by the control is a LinkButton object.
This LinkButton fires a CommandEventHandler event (when the user

I have a situation where there are two controls on the master page: a
tree with a menu structure (whose content and structure is customizable
by each user) and a menu control which displays the structure in a more
styled form.
The menu needs to get data from the tree in order to initialize
properly and can do so only after the tree has been initialized so that
its data is available. I can do this on a regular ASP.NET form since I
can...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
