How do I make dynamic aspx pages indexable by search engine, also how about _doPostBack()

Hi,

I have a site created entirely in asp.net, are the search engines able to
follow _DoPostBack() links within my page, if not what do I need to do in
order to accomplish this? also what is the preferred method of getting it
to index my dynamic content in its entirety.

thaks, Rob..

Not a coding question as such but highly related to asp/dynamic pages issues : has anyone any suggestions on the following ASP sites are generally (always) of a dynamic nature, pages can be built on the contents of querystrings, so search engines can only be directed to your first index.asp page since the search engine is unable to deduce what querystring parameters should/could be used. I have a company listing site and would like...

I'm writing an ecommerce app in asp.net/vb.net and need to make the pages searchable and crawlable by spiders, particularly Google's. As far as I know, if my pages's contents are mostly populated by user controls on a single page and I call these different controls by passing one or more parameters like this: myweb.com/default.aspx?MenuID=44, then the spiders aren't going to be able do to anything with this. asp.net offers lots of great...

Just wondering if there is anything we must/can/should do to facilitate the indexing of our dynamic pages by the big search engines (Google, etc). An example of such a dynamic page I'm thinking of is if I have an ASPX page that can show very different information - all of which (including <TITLE> <META>, and <body> content is all driven from a database. Thanks!

I have a how-to-do-it manual like site, related to fishing. I want to add a new interactive question/comment feature to each instructional page on the site. I want (registered) users to be able to add comments at the bottom of each page, similar to the way the php, mysql, apache manuals work. PUNCHLINE_A:

Because dynamic pages do not get indexed well in search engines, is there a decent API out there to parse through the site and write pages as plain html automatically? I noticed some WordPress and Blogger writers have their posts served up as plain html. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm trying to setup a small parts database that can be indexed by search engines. I have the database in place and a php page that performs the lookup and displays the results. The site itself has search engine optimization enabled and working properly. What I don't understand is: 1. How does the search engine search the database? Is this automatic at the next crawl? 2. How to make the dynamic page display when I search for a...

Hello all, I feel dumb having to ask this question in the first place, but I just can not figure it out. I am wanting to set my site up using dynamic urls (I'm assuming that's what they're called, an example of what I have in mind is index.php?page=). However, I can not figure out how to do this. I will eventually want to use SEF urls, but for now I'll be content just to have the dynamic urls. If anyone can tell me how to do this, I'd...

Hi. This is just a disaster management question. I am using XMLHTTP for the dynamic loading of content in a very crucial area of my web site. Same as an IFrame, but using XMLHTTP and a DIV. I got the core of the javascript from here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/ajaxcontent.htm I noticed in the demo that sometimes the content takes a long

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
