I am trying to BinaryWrite an image from a binary string that I am storing in the web.config file. The image is just a 1x1 pixel gif. I am setting the content type to "image/gif", but the output is just my string. Any suggestions? Code is below

I'm raising an event in a component, using ISynchronizeInvoke.Invoke, and my
event args object contains a string as one of its members. If the string is
longer than 63 bytes, the Invoke call pulls an unhandled exception in
System.Windows.Forms.dll, to the effect that the string length must be less
than 64. If I trim the string to 31 characters (62 bytes) everything's fine

Am I trying to hold the data of a DataGrid in a label so that when the form
is reposted the DataGrid can be repopulated. The problem I am having is that
I don't understand how to get the text into a stream in order to be able to
use DataSetOutcomes1.ReadXML(MyStream).

I've run a few simple tests looking at how query string encoding/decoding gets handled in asp.net, and it seems like the situation is even messier than it was in asp... Can't say I think much of the "improvements", but maybe someone here can point me in the right direction...
First, it looks like asp.net will automatically read and recognize query strings encoded in utf8 and 16-bit unicode, only the latter is some mutant, non-standard...

I realize that in communicating with a Web Service, one is essentially
passing a string as a parameter.
Is there a limit over the Internet how long a parameter string can be? Or
can the string be of an unlimited length, and is then simply divided up into
packets?
Is there a danger of loosing data if the string being passed in a parameter

I encountered the 4 MB limit recently while using the export feature of
Crystal Reports version 9 Report Application Server which uses a MS SQL
Server 2000 as a data source. The data being export out of the report
into MS Excel is around 4100 KB. The RAS and IIS 6 is on Server A,
while the SQL Server is on Server B. The report is requested from an
IE 6.0 brower session on workstation A.

I have a C#.Net windows app that calls a FileNet web service. I can run a
select against the web service and it returns up to 7,200 records with 5
columns each. When I try to select more rows I get a WSE352 "The size of

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
