Web Services Parameter Size Limit?

Dear Authorities:

I realize that in communicating with a Web Service, one is essentially
passing a string as a parameter.

Is there a limit over the Internet how long a parameter string can be? Or
can the string be of an unlimited length, and is then simply divided up into
packets?

Is there a danger of loosing data if the string being passed in a parameter
is greater than a certain length?

If a Web Service has multiple parameters, is each parameter subject to the
same limit in length, or if there is a limit is it based upon the total
length of all strings being sent as parameters to a Web Service?

If there is a default limit to parameter message length, can that default
limit be reliably changed and if so how?

Thank you for addressing these questions.

Sincerely,

Burton G. Wilkins

I am setting up a huge database in mysql, and I get the above error in Linux. I believe it is related to the size of one of my tables, which is 4,294,966,772 bytes in size. Can someone help. How can I break that barrier. A google search did not turn up anything useful. -- Posted using the http://www.dbforumz.com interface, at author's request Articles individually checked for conformance to usenet standards

Dear Authorities: Is there a limit as to the size of XML file that can be safely sent in a Web Service as parameter? Realizing that XML is just a string, how many characters can be safely transmitted to a Web Service? Or is there NO limit? Someone should know the answer to this question? Please reply. Sincerely,

Hello everyone, Sometimes a template class is defined to have only parameter and no type (e.g. class something) information. Like the below sample. My question is, why define template class in this way (e.g. I can implement in an alternative way to put the parameter into constructor)? If there is no type information (e.g. class something), there will be no benefits and reasons to use the template class. Any comments?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
