I am having some validation and insertion problems. I am using a date
picker that takes the selected date and puts it to ("dd-MMM-yyyy") format,
as this was the only format that Oracle would accept on an insert, however,
when it does a comparision validation it is failing. I have
StartDate = comparing to an invisible textbox that contains todays date
EndDate = comparing to StartDate needing to be >=
SetupDate = comparing to StartDate...

Hello there,
In my asp.net page using VB, I have a date text field in mm/dd/yyyy
format. When a date is entered, I'd like to validate it to make sure
the date is greater than or equal to the current date. If not, I'd
like to display the error message to ValidationSummary.
It seems to make sense to me to use CompareValidator but the problem
is put the current date into CompareValidator. So, I created a hidden
text field in my aspx. ...

Hi,
I've been struggling with this for a few days. I've seen bits and pieces
(how to set up custom validation), but I can't seem to understand how to get
client side validation for my custom composite control (the textbox part).
I've done a ton of vbnet, am new to aspnet, but barely know how to spell
java. Anyone know of a good website or tutorial for this kind of thing?
TIA

Looking through WebUIValidation.js, I discovered that the standard validators
don't cater for non-numeric date formats (e.g. dd-MMM-yyyy) which I would
like to do
To keep code to a minimum, I would like to extend the existing validator to
handle other common date formats and still be able to do both client and/or
server side validation as normal. Unfortunately, I am unable to get the
extended code to ever be called
I implemented the...

Hi there,
I have written a custom validator function to validate a datefrom a user-filled field. The function tries to parse the dateand if it can't, sets (serverValidateEventArgs)e.IsValid tofalse.
The twist is that it allows blank dates to be entered - viz,e.IsValid==true if the field is left blank. The idea is to usethat validation control to make sure the date a user has enteredis valid, without the date field being required to...

Hi all,
Has anyone been able to write some custom javascript on the onclick event of
submit button to do certain things like disable submit button, only submit
form once etc. This was a breeze in 1.1 since I could edit the .js file. Now
in 2.0 I can no longer do this. Also, my code would have to be called after
all client-side validation was done and was successful. Any ideas?
TIA!

Hello,
I built myself a calendar control. I want the control to be able to be
validated by .NET validation controls. So I added the
ValidationPropertyAttribute("Text") to my class declaration of my calendar
control. It is the Text property of my control which must be validated. I
add a CompareValidator control to my web page and I adjust the properties of
this control to validate my calendar control. I use a CompareValidator to
ensure...

I have been asked to validate a date on our web-page so that people cannot enter dates like 14/1/08 or 2/30/06. I have found code that will do exactly what i need it to do, but i am not sure how to call it. It was suggested to be to have it run through an if statement and if the user enters an invalid date it will kick them to an error page.
Here is the date validation code.
// date validation using SimpleDateFormat
// it will take a...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
