getting arguments from a HTML page

EMW
I have created an INDEX.HTML file that uses javascript to get the browser
window size and then redirects immidiately to my ASPX file with
"fshome.aspx?wi dth=1122,height =633"
But how do I read these values in my aspx file?

Eric,

You need ?width=1122&hei ght=633. Then you can read them in using
Request.QuerySt ring("Height") and Request.QuerySt ring("Width")

not sure if this is a PHP or HTML question. PHP sessions usually put a "?" after the url and then the session number. Most validators choke on the "?". What should I use instead? And where is the damn line? All I can find is this: ; The separator used in PHP generated URLs to separate arguments. ; Default is "&". ;arg_separator.output = "&"

In the context of LATEX, some Pythonista asked what the big successes of Lisp were. I think there were at least three *big* successes. a. orbitz.com web site uses Lisp for algorithms, etc. b. Yahoo store was originally written in Lisp. c. Emacs The issues with these will probably come up, so I might as well mention them myself (which will also make this a more balanced

Hi, I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me with this one, I'm developing an application which basically inserts a load of data into the database ready for validation at a later date, I wrote an INSERT statement that works fine however today I decided that as part of the application upgrade it should be return the record ID so I wrote the following which I admit is a little messy at places but it works. However when I added all...

Hello! When walking the DOM I check for e.g. obj.nodeName=='DIV' or similar. But this throws a warning in firefox if obj is not a HTMLDivElement. How can you test for HTMLDivElement without throwing any warning, notice or something? Thanks! Dominik Werder

Greetings, I've got a website that has several pages with DataGrid controls on them. The controls are bound to Object Datasources. On one of the pages I keep getting a "Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding." error. The data is being filled from a Stored Procedure on an SQL Server. When I run the Stored Procedure on the actual server, it is only taking 24...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
