I have set up an ASP script (with some help from microsoft.public.inetserver.asp.general!) that grabs the windows username of the user and puts it into an Access database.
It is setup on IIS5 as a virtual directory and will only be used internally on our network.
The script works fine with the authentication set as "basic authentication" but this prompts the user for a login and password.
I want it to be automated which I believe would...

I have custom errors turned on, and am able to catch errors and send the
user to a friendly page. I have one site with "authentication" turned on.
I would like to send a person who doesn't have access rights to a user

I have an asp.net program that uses a connection string, using integrated
security to connect to a sql database. It runs fine on one server, but the
other server gives me the error that
"Login failed for user "NT AUTHORITY/ANONYMOUS LOGON". Why would this be?
There is no reason it should even be trying to login to using NT
Authority/Anonymous login. The IIS Server is set to turn off anonymous
logins, and use integrated security, and my...

Hi,
I'm having problems with good old error... Login failed for user 'NT
Authority\Anonymous logon'.
The default web page comes up fine, but when the user attempts to log in
(which checks stored usernames in the database etc) then the error occurs.
a) The Web server is on a seperate box to SQL Server.
b) I'm using forms authentication.
c) I've enabled anonymous access, setting it to the correct domain account,

Hi,
Please help me out in one problem with ASP.NET page.
The scenario is something like that, my page contains one data grid and
that grid contains around 5000 records (no paging is there). When my
page loads, it takes a bit long time to show all the records and show
all the records properly. Up till now everything is fine, but when I
clicked any operation on same page (which raise some post back event)
then the IE ask me for user...

I am having a number of problems over the last two full days trying to get
an ASP.NET 2.0 application to connect to a SQL Server 2005 database...
First off, I built this application w/ Visual Studio 2005 SP1 and had it
working perfectly on my Windows XP machine on SQL Server 2005 Express. I
decided to publish this application to a test development server (with both
the SQL and IIS servers on the same box) running on:

I have a scheduled task that I setup in the CF administrator. It calls a page which runs some queries and inserts some data into tables. I checked the output file, and I'm getting this error:
HTTP 401.2 - Unauthorized: Logon failed due to server configuration
I'm using Integrated Windows Authentication on my site because I'm using LDAP security within my application.
Does anyone know what I need to do so I can get this page scheduled?...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
