Hi Guys,
I am creating a Windows service that call a routine at given interval.
Once routine is complete, windows service should wait for 5 minutes and
then call the routine again. I was using System.Timers.Timer but i had
to remove it because of known bug(842739). Now i am using

We're having a problem where our application is timing out
after 60 minutes no matter what type of activity is
occuring. A user can be in the middle of a server call
and it will timeout after 60 minutes. This only occurs
with Windows authentication and not forms based.
We have the following in the web.config:
<authentication...

(1) web.config - <sessionState timeout="20">

I have an ASP.NET application that is using Windows Integrated
Authentication (IIS) (as opposed to Forms Authentication).
When the user first logs into the application, IIS prompts the user for
their credentials.
Once they are "authenticated", their credentials remain active while their
web browser is open.

Hello,
i'm struggling with a somehow badly understood session scenario.
I provide acces to my pages based on form authentication using
Session cookies.
Som of my pages are supposed to be running continuously and refreshing once
an hour.
I there set timeout= 61 in <sessionState section and on my page it says
<meta http-equiv="refresh"...

In the forms authentication construct, I need a way to prevent ticket
IssueDate and Expiration from being updated for a specific page only. By
default forms authentication updates these two values whenever a page is
requested and slides these values forward. Is there any way to forgo this
proccess just for a specific page.
I need this...

Hallo to the group,
my question is this: where i have to set timeout in a web application?
If i set into sessionState with property Timeout="60", after 20
minutes the session is over. Always after 20 minutes, i cannot set a
timeout greater than 20 minutes.
Our configuration is the following:
- Server with Win2003, i.e. IIS 6.0
- Web...

By default, IIS is configured to timeout a session in 20 minutes,
which can be changed through the IIS config window.
I use InProc sessionState mode. I can also set the session timeout in
web.config. So here is my question:
If IIS setting has a session timeout value of 20 minutes, but my
web.config setting has a session timeout of 30...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
