Hey Everyone,
I have a problem with a web application due to the use of both client-side
and server side script on the on-click event of a button. The client side
script runs first as expected however my problem is that this code runs and
brings up a Microsoft Internet Explorer Window telling the user they are
going to be charged for the search they are about to do. The user then has to
click ok or cancel. My problem with this is that I...

I have a datalist that makes use of the edit template. In this template I
also have client side validation controls for required fields. My problem
is that when I click on the cancel button it won't do a postback to cancel
the update when the form's not valid. How can I bypass the validation for
the cancel button?

Hi Folks,
Suppose I have two link button on a page (say lnkBtn1 and
lnkBtn2). On the click event of the lnkbtn1 I have to add a dynamically
created control. And On the click event of the lnkBtn2 I have to add a
datalist control.
Using this datalist control I should be able to add edit, modify
and cancel the items listed in this control.
Here is how I designed. I used placeholder to add the controls dynamically
to the page on the click...

Dear All
I have a Windows 2003 Server with IIS6 where the validation controls on
ASP.Net pages no longer work.
I believe it to be specific to the server as if I create an ASP.Net page on
the IIS Server of my Workstation (Win XP) with a text box, button and
required field validator, this works fine. If I create the same page on the
IIS6 Windows 2003 Server the validation control doesn't stop the post. I've
tried different browsers and...

I have written an ASP.Net application that uses the standard
client-side and server-side validation for various fields on the form.
Some of the customers that use the form report symptoms that appear to
be the result of double-clicking the submit button on the form.
The form has three ASP:Button tags, each of which gets translated into
INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT" HTML elements. One submits the form's data. One
logs the user out. And the other...

Hi,
I asked this back in January without answer and forgot about it until now.
I've got a basic web form, two textboxes, a couple of radio button groups,
some required field validators, and a Submit and Cancel button.
When the page loads, if I click the Cancel button, the server-side event
fires as normal.

Does anyone know a way to force the client script to preform a client-side
validation for controls in validation groups?
What is currently happening is I have two validation groups (Billing,
CreditCard). The validation doesn't happen until the submit button is
pressed and the server validation happens. I added an OnClickClient event
to the submit button that pops up a comfirm box, but it pops before any
validation happens.
What I...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
