hi,
i am using the following code to generate a xls file using the
content type
now when the user opnes the file at his pc it takes long time to
open..if the no of records in file is large
does the use of html tags has slow down the process of opening in
excel...
does speical care needs to be taken so that large html files open in
excel quiclky.....................

I've seen some postings on this but not exactly relating to this
posting. I'm reading in a large mail message as a string. In the
string is an xml attachment that I need to parse out and remove from
the message once processed. I have to do this as a string and not
using any CDO libraries. My problem is that there's normally a large
pdf in the file so when I read the file in it's massive and I don't

I've created an asp.net app and it appears fine when I view it with normal
font sizes but when some laptop users view it (They use large fonts setting)
all labels appear gigantic on the aspx page, they do not fit on the page
properly, and are partically covered by other controls, etc.
Has anyone run into this before?
Please help.

I saw a few posts on this newsgroup about it but nothing to help me resolve
this problem:
We designed a window in .NET on a platform using small fonts (120 ppp). But
this window will run on servers configured with large fonts. For a reason I
cant explain, not only the font changes when settings the window on large
font but all the widgets seem to be resized. This is kind of problematic
because I have to redraw (resize) all the widgets...

Hi all,
Hope someone is able to help. I notice when I design a basic HTML page, it
is affected if a WinXP user has Large Fonts set in their Control Panel.
However some pages, e.g. www.bbc.co.uk/news are unaffected by this I think.
They are definitely not affected by changing the font size within the
browser.
Because I want to add tables, which will word-wrap incorrectly if the font
size is changed, how can I disable allowing the...

I am building an application using VB.NET 1.1 and I have an issue with
Font properties in my Radio Button Lists and Check Box Lists. My issue
