Using MapPoint Service problem

Hi all,

I am wanting to use the mappoint service from a usercontrol on a webpage, in
development this works fine but when my control is deployed and it tries to
call the mappoint service I get a security exception,

Anyone any thoughts/experience with this ?

thx

I deployed an app for Central Parking that uses a control to serve up the
maps from MapPoint. I did not have any problems.

I would set up a trace around the failing code and have it "print" out the
variables affecting the call. You may find that you are not using the
correct user ID, et al.

NOTE: There is a public group dedicated to the mappoint webservice:
microsoft.publi c.mappoint.webs ervice

I am consuming the MapPoint .NET web service using PHP5. My preferred option would be to use the built-in soap classes since they are more tightly coupled with PHP and should be quicker because they are written in C.. All seems to work fine until now, I have a problem creating a cetain complex types. This is the request generated by the MS example code for the GetMap() function which worked as desired but required NuSOAP: <?xml...

I just discovered MapPoint Web Service so I got an evaluation account and I tried to execute the last sample on this page : http://demo.mappoint.net/ I got the application running but it couldn't connect to the Web Service and displayed an error dialog box. I just added a debugging instruction to know what was this exception and I got the...

Hi. I am trying to get through to Microsoft MapPoint Services using ZSI for soap handling. I can generate the service classes and also the soap-requests generated by the service classes seem to be OK. The problem I am facing is that I can't seem to authenticate myself. I have made a small change to ZSI.client so that when I get a "401 Unauthorized" response from the remote server I build up a nice authorization request:

Hi, I need to be able to click onto a map and then drill down to a report. For example, could we have a map of the Chicagoland area with clickable areas (zip code) and when a user clicks on an area it would drill down to a list of stores (Crystal Reports) for that clicked area. Could Mappoint do this? If not is there something else you could recommend (Crystal Report's maps (8.5) is not very good)? Also, with our Action Pack...

I've been trying to build a .NET application that references the MapPoint Type Library. I've succeeded to implement and run a .NET Windows application MapPoint.Application app = new MapPoint.ApplicationClass(); This works just fine, but when I try the same in a ASP.NET web application or service I get a runtime exception:

Will MapPoint 2006 support programming in C#.NET in VS 2005 without the need to jump through the hoops with COM? I would really like to see a .NET friendly version of MapPoint on the desktop because the pricing for the MapPoint Web Service puts many useful projects into the red on ROI. Thanks!

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
