ASPX inside ASP iframe

bc
Hello all,

I have a classic ASP web app that requires some new reporting features
that I have written in ASP.Net (a .net web application that makes use
of a .net webservice on the same box). To incorporate the ASPX page
inside the classic ASP page, I added an IFRAME to the ASP page and
referenced the ASPX as the src attribute. Everything seems to work
okay when hitting the web app by itself, but when using the .net web
app via the ASP page IFRAME, the style sheet classes are not rendered
by the browser on postback events. It's as if the style sheet is not
loaded/referenced at all within the ASPX page.

I understand this is kind of a hack at incorporating a 'new hotness'
technology inside 'old and busted' legacy ASP code aside from creating
a completely new front-end that users MUST go in order to use this new
functionality.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks for any help on this.

Stick the ASPX page in the same application, or dupe the stylesheet in the
other app.

I have an aspx page: Main.aspx which has several components that cause a postback. In the page Main.aspx I also have an iframe which contains a multi-page pdf file. The problem I am facing is that whenever the user does an action which causes a postback on the main page Main.aspx, the page posts back and the pdf file in the iframe is reloaded. This is a problem becuase if the user has rotated or magnified the page then that is lost. ...

It might be me but... I dont seem to get a Page_Load event when a opening an ASPX in an iFrame. I do geta Page_Load event when an item on the ASPX (inside the iFrame) is clicked but then IsPostBack=False by now!. The ASPX is opened via client side script (into an iFrame) inside a .HTM file (as ASPX postback causes problems in a modal internet explorer dialog if not in an iFrame!) Anyone know how to get around this - i need to...

Hi! We are experiencing a problem with running an .aspx page inside an iframe. The .aspx page is loading perfectly the first time (on load), but when we try to interact/navigate within the .aspx page (press a button/calendar control e.g.) the response is loaded in a new separate browser window. What we want is that the .aspx page is preserved and running inside the IFRAME, not only on load, but also when the user tries to interact

Hello, I am working on an ASP .NET application in Visual Studio 2005 and running IE7. This application has a page that contains an iframe which loads an .aspx page and hyperlinks that load the iframe with different .aspx pages. The HTML/mark up for the .aspx pages executes every time, but the Page_Load events for the pages never run (on initial load or subsequent loads).

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
