Hi,
I have many, many forms that use all of the different form validation
controls. These work great on my local server however I have just been
alerted to the fact that the form validation doesn't work at all on
the web server causing all sorts of differing problems.
I would assume that it has something to do with the JavaScript for the
client side form validation however this is as far as I get.
Any suggestions / solutions?
Many thanks, Brett 2 1731
ASP.Net form validation ( with validator controls) validates the value at two places....1st on the client and on on the server on postback. So even if somebody has disabled JavaScript in the brouser....it will validate the at postback....You can safely use ASP.Net form validation using validator controls
Regard
Avneesh
Hi Avneesh,
Thanks for this (again). However it doesn't perform and validation on
the web server (either on the client side or the server side).
It works perfectly on my local machine at both client and server side
but not the remote server and it is not just one form but about 30.
Many thanks,
Brett

Dear PHP Group,
I have two forms that are used to collect user information. The first one
takes user inputted values such as fullname, city, address etc. I want these
values to display in the second form when it is called. Both forms are .htm
files that call themselves when the submit button is press via the following
command in each form:
<form method="post" action="<?php $server?>">

Hi, after coding for days on stupid form validations -
Like:
strings (min / max length), numbers(min / max value), money(min / max
value), postcodes(min / max value), telefon numbers,
email adresses and so on.
I thought it might be a better way to programm an automated, dynamic
form validation that works for all kinds of fields, shows the
necessary error messages and highlights the coresponding form fields.

Hi,
I am trying to provide some simple validation using Javascript on my
form.
However at times the validation works and at others it doesn't and
submits the form without any warnings even though it contains invalid
values. And sometimes it displays the warnings and submits the form!
I'm really confused and don't know what else I can do (I want to provide
the validation server-side)

My JavaScript Form Validation doesn't work at all in Netscape, but it
works fine in IE.
I made some of the suggested changes which enabled it to work in IE.
I couldn't make all the changes because then it didn't work in IE.
How can I enable this javascipt form validation to work in Netscape?
When I use netscape, none of the alert boxes appear. It submits the
form without validating anything.

Hi
I hope someone can help me. I have a client side form validation script
which works perfectly in IE but clicking "Submit" in Mozilla does
nothing - the form won't submit.
Is there something I can use that will work for both browsers, or is
there something wrong with my code? I seem to think that the problem
lies with the "onclick" area of the form.
This is my code, such as it is...

I'm going back to a previous asp.net (C#) web project after a few months of
inactivity and my first form, the login, won't submit. I ran with the
debugger and still can't see how to resolve this. I am developing with
VS2003 and on Windows 2000 Server and have all of the service packs for .NET
and Windows. The application is running on an intranet and I'm running this
test with IE6. Javascript is functional.
The logon form has text fields...

Hi,
I have a form for uploading documents and inserting the data into a mysql
db. I would like to validate the form. I have tried a couple of Javascript
form validation functions, but it appears that the data goes straight to the
processing page, rather than the javascript seeing if data is missing and
popping up an alert. I thought it may be because much of the form is
populated with data from the db (lists, etc.), but when I leave...

Hello guys,
now that I'm that I'm working on my first major 'open' forms (with
uncontrolled users I mean, not a secure backend-interface), I'd like to add
a lot of possibilities to check wether certain fields match certain
criteria, and inform the user in different ways when the data is wrong
(offcourse, this will be checked on posting the data again, but that's
something I've got a lot of experience with).
Now, offcourse it's...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
