I'm seeking some solid information on how I as a programmer can work with a
Macromedia designer on my ASP .NET applications. Here's the specific
scenario:
Company has a intranet area that is standard html made in dreamweaver, this
is all maintained by another person. Currently, I have 7 or so different
asp .net applications that are inserted into the dreamweaver sites using
floating frames. Ideally we would like to be able to throw the template
created in dreamweaver over my asp .net pages. Couple specific questions:
- Since all the asp.net applications are in different virtual directories
etc than the intranet project, will dreamweaver handle this gracefully?
- All the asp .net pages were created and designed in visual studio .net
2003. I notice if I install dreamweaver and point a new site to one of my
local dev directories, all the asp .net controls show up as just tags... is
this normal behavior or am I doing something wrong?
Any pointers on working in tandem with a designer would be much appreciated. 1 1269
Keep the code in the CodeBehind file. Then, let the designer play with
layout, including ASP.NET tags, while you stick with the code. Once you get
the discipline, it works fine.

I am a begginer with not too much time on my hand. I do some html
pages with Dreamweaver and with some minor Flash actionscript and I
have a minor ability (with the help of lots of tutorials) to do some
PHP.
I love Dreamweaver MX since it realy simplifies the visual part of the
process of making a page and also help with code typos since it
generates alot of the basic code automatically (for example, I don't
have to know how to write a...

Somebody on here recommended Dreamweaver with PHP. I am coming from
(still using really) ASP and ASP.NET. PHP is more like ASP and not a
whole lot like .net, but I wanted to know how Dreamweaver will help me
with PHP. Is it easier to make a website "prettier" with Dreamweaver?
Just need guidance on why to use Dreamweaver with PHP. I am using
HTML kit or notepad and, of course, Google. Usually use the languages
and objects for hitting...

I'm currently working on my second web application using VS 2003/VB.NET,
after moved from Dreamweaver MX.
one thing that i missed so much in VS2003 is DWMX's great visual, WYSIWYG
layout design, and HTML template feature.
well, as you know, developing web application is not just about
inserting/updating/deleting and displaying data in plain-page design.
so, here are my questions:
- how to workaround this limitation in VS2003
- how to...

We have some 1.1 sites developed in dreamweaver and we will be developing
all new sites for the 2.0 framework when it's out of beta. We just
purchased an ms subscription and will be using visual studio for development
now. I like whidbey a lot more than vs.net 2003... can I skip learning 2003
and just use Whidbey to maintain our 1.1 sites? There are no project or
solution files to convert since we developed everything in dreamweaver...

I am just trying to decide whether to split my code and uses code behind. I
did it with one of my pages and found it was quite a bit of trouble.
I know that most people (and books and articles) like it because you can
split the code from the design. That is logical. But if you are the only
one working on the code, it seem a little overkill.
I use Dreamweaver to do my design and find it a bit of a hassle to have
multiple files open...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
