cross browser compatible HTML text box

Hi all!

I'm looking for a cross browser compatible HTML text box (like FreeTextBox
or RichTextBox) - does anybody know such a control?
Thanks

Thomas

I don't think there can be. Mozilla and IE 55+ are the only two that
support that functionality.
Thanks,
Shawn

I'm developing a site for a charity which I am aiming to make standards-compliant, accessible and cross-browser compatible. I'm doing OK so far and have the workings of a respectable site, but I still have a few little niggly problems: Site: http://www.aif-advocacy.org.uk/index.asp CSS: http://www.aif-advocacy.org.uk/aif.css

Hi, I'm interested in your opinion concerning how far you would consider it necessary to code for cross-browser compatibility these days, especially for public-facing Internet sites... According to a recent survey (http://www.weboptimiser.com/search_engine_marketing_news/3061148.html), Internet Explorer has just under 95% of the browser marketplace. Do you think it's worth the additional aggravation of making things work in

Hi everybody, I was doing some cross-browser tests today and I found out that if you specify the width and height for a button type control, asp.net doesn't output the style information when viewing the page with the latest version of firefox. I copy-pasted the page source to an html file and opened it with firefox and the styles were applied to the button with no problem. My question is then this: Is there a way to control what...

So I'm half way through overseeing a large project in ASP.NET 2.0. My superiors have decided that it would be nice if we ensured the site worked on all the major platforms (as they see it: IE, FireFox, and Safari). We've made heavy usage of the new MENU control and other intrinsic 2.0 controls.... nothing fancy! just using ASP.NET's built-in controls and very nice, pervasive, and clean usage of CSS. Now I find after more testing that the...

Hi all, I have a real bugger of a problem that I just haven't been able to figure out. I am working on writing my own proxy server in C# using TcpListener, TcpClient, HttpWebRequest/Response and NetworkStream. I have everything working pretty well except images won't load to their location. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

We have an intranet website that currently uses ActiveX but we need to make it cross-browser compatible and also get around the problems we've been having with making it work with IE7 and Vista. We decided to write an external application to do the work from the client side. We are not sure how the web page can call the app though with parameters. For example, we want to do similar to what the MSDN Library and Audible are doing with...

I use visual studio 2008 and am learning to use javascript. I am constructing a javascript heavy website and have tried using the visual studio tools as well as Firebug- an add on for Firefox which I highly recommend . These tools are a large step up from writing the code in a text editor and guessing through the use of message boxes what is going wrong. (* off topic extra info) QUESTION- Javascript that works perfectly well in IE...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
