Manipulating control in one frame from another frame, how?

How do I manipulate a control in one frame from another frame ??

I've tried something like:

Class1

TextBox.Text="T ext1"
Session("TextBo x")=TextBox1

Class2
Session("TextBo x").Text="Text2 "

Running the code in class 1 first, following by the code in class to, I
examine the text in the TextBox in Class1, but it doesn't change...which
leads me to believe that a copy of the object is passes rather than a
reference/pointer....

How do I pass a reference that I can update through ??

TIA

Søren

Hi all, Is there some way in a <form> tag to transfer control to a JavaScript function after completion of the submit, where the <form> and function are on the same page? I believe ONSUBMIT and similar event handlers can be used to transfer control to a function just before the submit is completed. But, I'm looking for a way to transfer control afterwards. Thanks in advance. Don

I need some help here. I am making an application which allows a user to look at a series of picture files one at a time, and enter the outcome of various visual tests to a database. The application is based on mysql and php on a remote server, and is accessed by the user via a web browser, primarilly IE. The image file names are built up by the server side php scripts, and so a URL for the image file is created, but the file itself is...

Hi. I'm working with an app that uses exceptions for control flow. These are code blocks where exceptions are thrown/caught regularly. A couple hundred exceptions occur per hour and they're caught close to the point of origination. I'm trying to decide whether to refactor... What is the cost of throwing an exception in the CLR - relative to, say, a conditional statement? Are we taking talking 1+ orders of magnitude? Is there...

This one has me a bit confused and I'm not finding what I need in the MSDN or by searching these forums, so here goes... I have a rather large, complex code-in-page WebForm (don't ask) and a section of that Form is 4 or 5 ASP:Panels pretending to be a set of Tabs, each with its own section of the form.

I am rephrasing a question from yesterday. I have a page with several user controls : nav, header, and footer currently. What I would like to do is add a new control ('content') and use it like a frame. Specifically like a "content" or "main" frame. Can I somehow load the content of another, complete html or aspx page into this control? If so how? Ands If so, how can I load the correct page from a link? (IE:

Hey, I have a Web Form with a drop down list, textbox, and search button. When click the search button an SQL server database is queried fordata. Once I have the data in a dataset I use the dataset to dynamically create a Html Table control. I want to display the table on another frame page (target="main") without the web form controls (i.e. the textbox, search button, and dropdown list). I just want the table displayed only on the...

I'm interested in programmatically manipulating groups of ASP.NET controls by type. Can someone suggest code for the following? Loop through, say, all label controls on a page, and assigning a CssClass to them, or programmatically making the Visible/not Visible. If applied to a containing page, such a function would traverse all user controls statically and dynamically placed on the page, correct? Thanks,

Do you know if it is possible to wait for the iframe page to load and then manipulate the iframe DOM. E.g. mypage: <script> function myinit() { theiframe.location = "iframe_with_frames.html" waitforiframe() { theiframe.frames.location ="mynewpage3.html";

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
