SessionID Changing 'In Flight!"

We have made changes to an ASP.Net app, tested it on our
testing platform and moved it to our production platform.
In testing it on the other machine, the app fails when we
pull session data back from a SQL Server table keyed on
the SessionID. We added loggin statements to the code to
see what was going on and found that after reading a table
for information to fill a listbox, having the user select
one of those items which causes another table select to
fill a second listbox results in the session ID being
changed between these two database calls.

Any ideas what may be causing this to occur? We have
looked at just about every .config file we can think of
between the test and production machines and they are
identical (except those few items that are machine
specific which have the correct values in them). No one
here seems to know what may be doing this.

Thank you in advance for your time on this inquiry.

Rick

Hi all, we are implementing WSDPro here for load balancing. So, when someone comes in they may get redirected to www1.domain.com, www2.domain.com, etc. When they first come in, they hit www.domain.com, and then get redirected to 1, 2, 3 , etc. The problem is, in our solution, we are setting a session variable before the redirect, and are losing it as the SessionID is changing because it is acting like we are changing servers. It is...

Does anyone had the same problem or has a solution. The server is a w2003 enterprise the client has windows xp sp2.

Yes, it's in a frameset, yes I've look at aspfaq.com, yes I've tried loading the independet pages in their own window, yes i've tried praying to god. It works fine every *other* refresh. the session variables seem to totally disappear, then, upon refresh they come back, then, upon refresh again, they disappear.

However I am not happy with this solution even...

I am trying to foward the old sessionID using "Session.SessionID" to an HttpWebRequest CookieContainer so that I can capture the requested page session variables but it is not working as it is supposed to. The HttpResponse object always returns a different sessionID from the old one which I am trying to force. Why is objRequest not carrying over the old SessionID? private String ReadHtmlPage(string url) { String result = string.Empty;

I am a beginner. I am supposed to use a switch structure. I wrote the code below, which works great, but I can't come up with a reasonable usage of the switch structure for this program. Any ideas would be appreciated. #include <iostream> #include <string> #include <sstream> using namespace std;

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
