Conditional JavaScript confirmation box??......

Say I have an app that, using the server & database, verifies some
information the user has submitted (EX: verifying to make sure the
address matches our record).

What I want to be able to do is IF the information matches what's in
the database, when he hits the submit button he will be redirected to
the next page. If the information does NOT match, I want a JavaScript
confirmation box to appear informing the user that some information
does not match and ask if the transaction should continue.

I want the confirmation box to pop up ONLY when the information fails
the verification. If it passes the page should just redirect to the
next.

How can this be accomplished??

Thanks in advance.

On the form load can you try populating the old address
variable in hidden variables. After which you can use JAVA
script to compare the old and new address.
if hiddenoldaddres s <> oldaddress.valu e
button1.attribu tes.add("onclic k"," return confirm( 'are
you sure')

Srini

Hi, I'm relatively new to Javascript so please bear with me on what might sound like silly questions. This is what I want to do: I'm working in classic asp (I have to for this project). I need to: 1. Click a submit button on an asp page, calling another page that saves the contents of that form to a database and then displays

I copied the code from another HTML script that someone before me had written. I have no Javascript experience (I'm a VB Programmer/DBA) at all. The code below works to a certain extent. There are two things I need to get rid of though. One, this code keeps the calling window open (i.e., when you click on the URL, a new IE window opens--which is fine--but I can't seem to get the code right to close it. This is the Javascript I have...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
