I'm using IIS on W2k, using ODBC access to the database (which is on the
same server as IIS).
The system is designed to generate reports from users after they have walked
thru a few pages, supplying report parameters. The actual creation of the
report is done on another server, accomplished via a COM object that the web
server creates. This all works wonderfully.

In the code below I'm trying to create a directory. It works on the
production server, but it doesn't on my dev server; I'm running XP Pro, but
I don't belong to a domain; I'm running it in a workgroup instead. I've
enabled the write option in IIS on the directory.
Because I'm not in a domain, there's no security tab on the property dialog
for the folder in Windows Explorer, so I can't assign IUSR access right

I have an application where users need to upload images and in my web.config
file I have a setting like this:
<httpRuntime maxRequestLength="512" />
Which restricts image larger than 500k from being uploaded. I'm also using
the HtmlInputFile control to do the uploading. My problem is that when the
user's file size exceeds 512k, the page immediately redirects to the "The
page cannot be displayed" error page which is very confusing. ...
