Can you tell what you really want to do. If you want to have different
colors in each column header, you may need to use itemdatabound or
itemcreated event.

An ASP application retrieves records from a SQL Server database. In the first page of the application, the user has to enter a password & the columns retrieved from the DB table depends upon the password. For e.g. if the password entered is say, pwd1, then that user should be displayed the records of Column1 & Column2 only. If the password entered is say, pwd2, then that user should be displayed the records of Column1 & Column3 only. If...

I've a dropdownlist control to change language on my page. Because of page lifetime, I have to set all my labels, texts etc. from ResourceManager in prerender handler to be sure that culture change has been done. But I can't set HeaderText property of DataGridColumn in prerender because it is evaluated during data binding. I don't want to call DataBind() in OnPreRender also... Any ideas? I've tried to walk through Controls collection in...

Once a user clicks "add new row", a new row is created in my Datagrid. The datasource is huge so they have to scroll to the bottom of the page to edit the data in the new row. I have come across two EE solutions which use javascript to focus on the textbox in the "editcommandcolumn" mode. However, these solutions were made for non-autogenerated columns. I NEED autogenerated columns for my project. Is it possible to give focus to a...

I've been struggling to achieve the following layout for some time now and I'm not getting anywhere. I've tried several approaches including floats & absolute positioning and none seem to work, primarily due to the footer not being aware of the columns due to me floating / positioning them. I have the following (very simple) markup: <div id="head">...</div> <div id="left">...</div>

How I can remove an AutoGenerated column? I wnat to inlcude the primary key in the resultset for creating some custom LinkButtons, but I don't want it (the PK) displayed in the DataGrid. I tried searching the columnheader text, but found that AutoGenerated columns are members of the Columns collection. From the msdn documentation: Note: When the AutoGenerateColumns property is set to true, the columns created by the DataGrid control are...

Greetings. Ok, I admit it, I bit off a bit more than I can chew. I need to complete this "Generate Report" page for my employer and I'm a little over my head. I could use some additional assistance. I say additional because I've already had help which is greatly appreciated. I do try to take the time and understand the provided script in hopes on not having to trouble others on those. But here it goes...

I´ve also commented the whole code so you guys can easier understand it engine. What exactly we need when trying to make a column drag &...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
