Read/write IPTC info from a JPEG file?

Is there a way for ASP.net to read and write IPTC info from a JPEG file?
Just like what PHP can do?

Really appreciate your answer.

Hi, I'm trying to do a photo album with php. The admins should be able to write comments, descriptions etc. into the jpeg files via a web form. I tried to implement this with the (still undocumented) function iptcembed() and I didn't get it working properly. After hours of debugging I found the following note in php.notes: "This function currently only works for images that have IPTC data embedded in them already."

Hi, I am using PIL's IptcImagePlugin to extract the IPTC tags from an image file. I was able to successfully retrieve the tags from the image (thanks!), but the results are keyed off of cryptic tuples. I found the lookup codes here - http://demo.imagefolio.com/demo/ImageFolio31_files/skins/cool_blue/images/iptc.html, but I was wondering if these existed anywhere in the code. Would it make sense to include a label lookup on these...

I'm trying display a popup on the mouseover of a jpeg image. I'm thinking of trying to populate the popup with text obtained from the image metadata. However, I haven't been able to find any information on how to do this with javascript. Is there a way to access image metadata with javascript.

I need to read in a jpeg or bmp file in to memory and then save these files in to a resource file for distribution in a form other than jpeg or bmp. This requires only one file to be distributed, the resource file. Then I need to be able to open the resource file and read the individual jpeg or bmp file from there. I may need to do other format files as well if this all works. 1: What memory structure would I read the files in to? and how...

I see that ImageFormat includes exif. But I can't find out if I've System.Drawing.Image.FromStream or something like it can read and/or write that format.

Hi, I'm using the Python Imaging Library (PIL v1.1.6) to batch resize images. Problem is, it erases the IPTC and EXIF data for the resized file. I want the data to stay. Help??

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
