Table cell width

I've programatically built a table. Some cells in the table have tables
inside them. The ones that have tables inside have the correct width, while
the ones that have nothing in them do not have the correct width - they show
very thin, unless a cell above it shows the correct width. How do I ensure
that all cells have an absolute width. I've assigned them a class property
which points to a style that has width: "200px"

Hi, I am a little bit confused. Maybe someone can explain what I am doing wrong. I have a table with 2 cells in it. In the first cell I have an image. The image is left aligned and centered. In the second cell I also put an image. It is also left aligned and centered. It works wonderfull. But now I add some Text to the second cell. Baff - the valign is broken.

I can't figure out a way to possibly make this work in HTML. I have a table embedded in another table, with the inner table spanning a few columns. I would like for the outer table to span the width of the page. The problem is that the 2nd row that contains the colspan'ed cell with the inner table in it is wider than it needs to be (there's blank space at the end) which causes the top row to be wider than it needs to be. Why, and is...

I have a routine that is called on Page_Init. It retrieves folder records from a database which I display as Link Buttons in a table cell. I set the table cell's bgcolor to a default color (say black for example). I am dynamically creating the LinkButton controls and adding them into the table cell and I've also hooked up an event handler for each LinkButton's Click event. This all works fine. Now in the Link Button's Click event...

I am creating a table and inserting an iframe inside a cell for which the width depends on the screen size. The table has 7 columns and the fourth column is resized depeding on the screen size... here is my complete definition. <table style="HEIGHT: 472px" cellSpacing="0" cellPadding="0" width="100%" border="0"> <tr height="1">

I have a table that has 3 image slices. The middle slice changes size based on size of browser window. This works great. My client wants the date to show over the image on the right. So what I did was cut off the top part of the image (which is just a solid color and I can handle by making the background-color of the cell this color). I then use a asp line to display the date, which also works. Here is the original table setup for...

I've been reading lots of rounded corners table tutorials lately, because I'm a Perl guru, not an HTML guru. :-) So far all of the examples I've seen have edges with narrow angles, which fit easily into a single corner cell. Simple stuff. Piece of cake. By now I can do them in my sleep while juggling hippopotamuses and hanging upside down. But this one is different. In this particular case, it takes three corner edges to hold each...

Hi I have the following XSL-FO document that I'm testing with the FOP processor. The table I put in, however, is completely stuck to the left side of the body-region, regardless of which margins or paddings I insert. How do I indent the whole table? This is extremely frustrating. Thanks <fo:flow flow-name="xsl-region-body"> <fo:block space-before="5mm" margin="5mm" border-style="groove" border-width="0mm" border-color="blue"...

Sub titulo "Re: DIV borders different in IE7 when in td" scripsit Ben C: This seems to be the heart of the matter, and I'm trying to get a real discussion started, by moving the discussion to the right group (c.i.w.a.stylesheets) and changing the Subject line. It seems to me that IE 7, specifically in "standards mode" (!), misbehaves when a table cell has a declared width but the actual width

hi, I found a jquery html table sorting code i have implemented. I am trying to figure out how to edit how many colums there are, but every time i remove code that I think controls how many colums there are, it crashes. There are currently 6 columns, and I only want 4. How do I remove the last two (discount and date)? Here is a link: http://www.jaredmoore.com/tablesorter/docs/salestable.html Here is some jquery js that I think...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
