Hi all,
I am new in ASP.Net. I have a question on link multiple web forms together.
Here is the scenario:
I create an Index.aspx WebForm which consists of a banner and three navigator buttons as well as a body to load the content. It is exactly like a normal HTML page where there are banner, menu bar, and body to load content. In my case, there are three .aspx WebForms which I have to link them together in the Index.aspx page. So that...

Is there any way to embed a webform or something similar into another
webform so that it renders correctly?
I've been using pagelets but find them annoying as they can't be absolutly
positioned and don't render when u embed them
Cheers

We have a developer who claims the Visual Studio designer is not
sophisticated enough to build enterprise grade web pages and thus hand codes
all of his HTML in such a way as to make the designer impossible to use.
Is this common?

Hello,
I am in the process of evaluating ASP.NET
So far I am not impressed at all.
It seems to me that a basic evaluation of the PROs and CONs
of using things like HTML Server Controls, Data Controls, User Controls
etc. all breaks down the same way: lots of cons very few pros.

Hi, I am wanting to know if it is possible to embed a UserControl into a
Page at runtime.
What I am trying to do is allow a user to specify that they want a "contact
form" or a "latest news" in their page by simply entering {contact form} or
{latest news} in the HTML of their page.
What I have is two asp.net user controls called ContactForm.ascx and
LatestNews.ascx

I have a windows application written in Visual Basic 6.0 that is going
to be redeveloped in dotNET. We are trying to decide if we should
deploy using Webforms or Winforms and I need advice from someone who is
not on my team.
The VB 6.0 application is used by approximately 100 users. All users
reside in-house. There is an existing external website that will use
some of the same components but the two applications are separate.
The...

I've been trying for a long time to figure this out, to have a page
with several MP3 clips, and each one having a custom start and stop
button next to them to play the track. I finally found a bit of code
that does this, but it's made for only one mp3 file. I don't know
enough about javascript to customize the code myself. I know there
probably needs to be an "array" of some sort, but I need some help
figuring out where and how that works....

Hi,
We are placing Windows Controls inside webforms for a project that needs to
interact with files from a local computer.
What would be the best way to make the following work:
When a user clicks on a WebGrid Item (from Infragistics NetAdvantage
actually), we need to automatically compare the WebServer File with the
user's Local File.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
