Security IN ASP applications - global solutions?

2 New Member
Hi All,

I have an ASP main pge in my application which contains a number of links that redirect to other pages. if I copy this main page and paste it in a word document, the hyperlinks that are pasted in the word document is accessible by everybody. How can I secure the application so that any unauthorised aceees to the links other than from the application will show an error message. can someone help me if this can be done in global.asa for the entire application, so that any links pertaining to this applicaiton cannot be accessed by unauthorised people and also outside the application

Hi Friends,

I have a code like this

If Trim(Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_REFERER")) = "" Then

response.write "<font size=""4"">Unauthorised Access"

End If.

But these code needs to be implemented in all the pages.

Is there any other way this can be handled globally?? Pls help

yes, you might be able to do this with the global.asa. When in doubt, try it out.

I'll change the thread title to see if it attracts some better feedback.
