I have always thought it would make sense to be able to
store index data within a file for file based indexes.
Similar to the File Properties section of Office docs.
Ever since these things showed up in the Summary tab at
the file level I have pondered how to access.
Using Vb.net or Vb6, VBscript what information and
resources can you provide so that I can create additional
data streams to files so I can store keywords and other
data.

I use a c# method to open an excel file and to read it's data.But i find a problem that if i changed the excel file data manually by using excelapplication,the readed data by c# method isn't the modified data,it's old data still!
I think that maybe caused by c# use a data cache . How to refresh it or how to read the true excel file data?I don't want close my app

I have created a component which parses some flat
files and stores in Sql database. Now I want to move
that COM object to database server.
Now the scenario will be like this :
1) ASP page will get the file from the client
2) Then ASP page will call the stored procedure
alongwith the file data as parameter.

I'm an experienced Access/VBA programmer, trying to become competent
using VB.net.
Using base vb.net it seems to me to be an AWFUL amount of work to
create data-entry forms similar to what one could create in Access in
20 minutes (eg. a form with datasheet/form-view options, filter fields,
etc., etc.).
Surely there is an easier way?! What do most 'real-life' programmers do

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
