I am using a datagrid to display some data. I need to
create 2 header rows for this grid with columns of
varying spans. In html it would be the following.
<Table>
<tr>
<td colspan=8>Official Impact Summary</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan=2></td>

I have a requirement to put a GDI style circle or rectangle border around
the selected row of a datagrid/ It will overlap into the row above and below
the selected row. Doing this in a the OnPaint of a subclassed
DataGridTextBoxColum dos not seem like a practical way to do it.
I have subclassed a DataGrid and overridden the OnPaint as such:

Hi - I have a datagrid that has a black header and the rows alternate
white and gray. The problem is that until items are added to the grid,
the grid appears as a large black rectangle, which is quite ugly. The
black area is larger then it is once an item is added. How can I solve
this problem either by:
A) Having only the header black and the rest of the empty block white or
gray (preffered solution)
B) Having the color gray or white...

Hi, I'm trying to set up an asp.net page using flow layout so I'm
putting all my controls into a table grid, etc. I use several
radiobuttonlists and datagrids that are generated from datasource. The
radiobuttonlists are fine, they size depending on how many item are
called into it.
However, the datagrids, prior to filling with data contain FIVE
"Databound" items and the grid does not shrink if it is filled with
only 2 for example....

How to change row height in a DataGrid
I have DataGrid that is filled with data from a table in a DataSet. The
content of the cells is text of more than one line (as a note field). What I
want is to set the height of the row based on the number of lines in it. The
row height of each row in the table may be different from each other. Is
there a way to do this?

I can get the dropdownlist into the datagrid, and I can populate it, but I
can't read it.
Anybody have a working example of a dropdownlist in an editable grid?
Thanks.

I have a DataGrid control for which I have also created several new extended
DataGridColumnStyles. They behave pretty nicely, but I can't figure out how
to implement Selected Item formatting for them.
In a plain vanilla DataGrid, when you click on the RowHeader, the
appropriate row changes colors. I ASSUME this should be done in the Paint
(or PaintText) override of the DataGridColumnStyle in question. My problem
is that I don't know...

I successfully autosized the columns and rows on my Datagrid, and am
now facing another issue. Having the sorting ability by clicking the
column headers is key, but when I do that, it resizes all my rows back
to their defaults. I populate the datagrid, resize it accordingly and
it works fine...just when I click the headers is when it messes up. It
would be fine if I could run my autosizing again after the sorting is
done since there...

I have a DataGrid that contains a few rows and column header.
I wish to change the DataGrid height to be the exact height of the total
height of the rows and column header, so that no gray area will be shown
below the last row.
I tried:
int totalRowsHeight = dataTable.Rows.Count *
(dataGridTableStyle.PreferredRowHeight + 1);
Size gridClientSize = dataGrid.ClientSize;

I am using visual studio 2005 to develop a form using c#
I have 3 datagrids on one form.
I can set the row color based on a certain value in a column. However this
color applies to all 3 datagrida. I would like to set it so that
if value of column 3 in datagrid 1 is < 100 set to red, if = 100 set to green
if value of column 3 in datagrid 2 is < 90 set to red, if >= 90 set to green
if value of column 3 in datagrid 3is < 80 set to red,...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
