Back when computer dinosaurs roamed the earth and the precursors to
today's Internet were tiny flocks of TDMs living symbiotically with
the silicon giants, tracking access to data processing resources was
much simpler: you logged in with a userID and password, and when
you were done you ended your session by logging out (or occasionally
by being disconnected). Connection time was easy to measure, and it
made sense to both the customer...

J'ai eu une longue discussion hier au sujet des parametres de fonction
const.
La personne etait pour mettre "const" devant TOUS les parametres ne devant
pas etre modifies.
A mon avis, il faut le faire que SI le parametre est un pointeur ou une
référence.
int fct1(const int* i);

Hi folks,
I have a problem with an MS Access SQL query which is being used in an
Access Report, and am wondering if anyone can help.
Basically, my query (shown below) gets some records from a couple of
tables in my database using INNER JOINS and the WHERE clause to
specify the required constraints. However, I also want to read two
fields from a *single* record from a table called 'Locations' and then
apply one of these field's values...

I built a query in Query Analyzer and mapped it to Access 2002. The result
set returned is identical except cells in some records in the Access result
have #Deleted. This cast a shadow of doubt on the reliability of Access.
Am I doing something incorrect? Comments?
Access query
SELECT .Account, .Region_nm, .Site,
dbo_Results.
FROM INNER JOIN ( INNER JOIN (

I'm not certain if this is doable in the manner explained below, but
surely there have been others who have done something similar. So
whatever insight and assistance that can be provided will be much
appreciated.
I working with a separate Update Query (well several) that consolidate
various goods from separate tables for access and selection on a
sales/order invoice form. The data which is available is the

Running MS Access 2000
MS Windows XP Pro
This has caused me a lot of hair loss in the last few days so would
appreciate any help.
I am running code to append/update a local access database from a
remote MS SQL database. The method of determining which records to
append is primarily using the last date an update was carried out; I
appreciate that there is probably a better way of doing this but time

Please follow these guidelines when posting questions
Post your question in a relevant forum

I've been struggling the last two days with something I thought was
very easy, which is to open a web page with a form on it and
populate the form with data passed in a query string (either POST or
GET).
I got Application.FollowHyperlink *kind* of working, but was having
problem with double encoding of some characters (I had to do special
things with + signs in the data, as well as never figuring out why
some data was getting...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
