I'm trying to retrieve a text value from a MySQL database, put it into
an updateable form, allow edits, and send back the edited text back
into the MySQL database. I've been able to successfully retrieve the
text and put it into the editable form, using htmlspecialchars
function. But, I can't find a way of accepting the edited text and
sending back to the database.
Here's my code for retrieval.

Wow I was told this is a grate place for info I did not
believe um but I was wrong
I have 4 ASP pages on my site & a DB for each page has a
form pointing at its DB, I thought this would be the
simplest way. You can add & submit data and you get the
confirmation page, but I am seeing no data in my DB's.
Each DB has a CHMOD of 777. Here's the link to what I am

I am trying to retrieved the value of the textarea with the newline
preserved without having to submit the form to the server. Does anyone
knows how to? I tried soft and hard wrap but both does not seems to
affect the input in anyway.

I am making a D-base with web conectivity for my class project. I have
everything working but the subit button sends the data to the correct
fields but afterwards it wants to reproduce new blank text boxes how do
I stop this and how would I code it to redirect to a thank you page.
All with out the help of a web server this has to br ran from the
desktop and with in IE with a local directory. Pleas help I am stuck.

How to retrieve a value in in an aspx page?
Normally it is easy, drag and drops the textarea in aspx page and it is
work. But in this case, I generate the html code manually () and put as
literal html in the aspx page. How to do for retrieving the value in my
textarea without define a variable (runnat server) in c# code?
I thought this code retrieve all controls and value in all tag inside
the Form tag, it is not the case.

Before storing information from a form in database I perform follwing
operations on it :

mysql_real_escape_string(strip_tags(trim(urldecode($_POST))));
$summary =
mysql_real_escape_string(strip_tags(trim(urldecode($_POST))))
When I look in database I see '\r\n' in the text for the summary
wherever I pressed return-key.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
