How to parse a text file in ASP?

13 New Member
**How do I parse a textfile and edit only a certain part of it. Specifically, just the
last column. My textfile looks like this.

#Server Group 1
!Name01,192.168 .2.201,5901,123 456,description 01,\\p4d1,01,on
!Name02,192.168 .2.202,5902,123 456,description 02,\\p4d1,01,on

**Now I have an ASP page with buttons.
**example.
**When I click button1.. It means it will parse row 1 and last column. Changing
**the "on" to "off". The text file should look like this.

#Server Group 1
!Name01,192.168 .2.201,5901,123 456,description 01,\\p4d1,01,of f
!Name02,192.168 .2.202,5902,123 456,description 02,\\p4d1,01,on

**When I click button2.. It will parse row 2 and last column. The text file should
**look like this.

#Server Group 1
!Name01,192.168 .2.201,5901,123 456,description 01,\\p4d1,01,on
!Name02,192.168 .2.202,5902,123 456,description 02,\\p4d1,01,of f

**I need to Identify the row number, parse the textfile, edit the last column.
**Any suggestions will definitely help.. Thank you.. =)

Hi, I'm trying to strip the html and other useless junk from a html page.. Id like to create something like an automated text editor, where it takes the keywords from a txt file and removes them from the html page (replace the words in the html page with blank space) I'm new to python and could use a little push in the right direction, any ideas on how to implement this? Thanks!

Assumptions I am assuming that you know or are capable of looking up the functions I am to describe here and have some remedial understanding of C programming. FYI Although I have called this article “How to Parse a File in C++”, we are actually mostly lexing a file which is the breaking down of a stream in to its component parts, disregarding the syntax that stream contains. Parsing is actually including the syntax in order to make...

Hello, I have an XML file generated from a third party application that I would like to parse. Ideally, I plan on having a windows service setup to scan various folders for XML files and parse the file, then spit out totals. Since I haven't worked with XML too much in C#, I'm trying to develop a structured and easy-to-read way to parse the file. Essentially, I would like to read the file and add the "BatchTktAmountfor any...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
